¹⁹ We are yours from of old;
    but you have not ruled over them,
    they have not been called^[a] by your name.^(A)

¹⁷ that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
    even all the Gentiles who bear my name,
says the Lord, who does these things’^[a](A)—

¹² so that they may possess the remnant of Edom^(A)
    and all the nations that bear my name,^[a](B)”
declares the Lord, who will do these things.^(C)

⁴ For the Lord has chosen Jacob^(A) to be his own,
    Israel to be his treasured possession.^(B)

⁶ Pour out your wrath^(A) on the nations
    that do not acknowledge^(B) you,
on the kingdoms
    that do not call on your name;^(C)
