⁸ “For I, the Lord, love justice;^(A)
    I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
    and make an everlasting covenant^(B) with them.

⁷ For the Lord is righteous,^(A)
    he loves justice;^(B)
    the upright^(C) will see his face.^(D)

²⁴ but let the one who boasts boast^(A) about this:
    that they have the understanding to know^(B) me,
that I am the Lord,^(C) who exercises kindness,^(D)
    justice and righteousness^(E) on earth,
    for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.

²⁸ For the Lord loves the just
    and will not forsake his faithful ones.^(A)

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed^[a];
    the offspring of the wicked will perish.^(B)

⁸ Good and upright^(A) is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs^(B) sinners in his ways.
⁹ He guides^(C) the humble in what is right
    and teaches them^(D) his way.
¹⁰ All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful^(E)
    toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.^(F)
11 For the sake of your name,^(G) Lord,
    forgive^(H) my iniquity,^(I) though it is great.

¹² Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?^(J)
    He will instruct them in the ways^(K) they should choose.^[a]
