^35 (A)The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ^(A)“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

^5 (A)While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ^(B)“This is My beloved Son, ^(C)in whom I am well pleased. ^(D)Hear Him!”

²² who has gone into heaven and ^(A)is at the right hand of God, ^(B)angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

^15 (A)who killed both the Lord Jesus and ^(B)their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God ^(C)and are ^[a]contrary to all men, ^16 (D)forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always ^(E)to fill up the measure of their sins; ^(F)but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

²⁰ which He worked in Christ when ^(A)He raised Him from the dead and ^(B)seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ^21 (C)far above all ^(D)principality^[a] and ^[b]power and ^[c]might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

²² And ^(E)He put all things under His feet, and gave Him ^(F)to be head over all things to the church,

⁸ Now I say that ^(A)Jesus Christ has become a ^[a]servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, ^(B)to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

²⁰ For ^(A)the Father loves the Son, and ^(B)shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. ²¹ For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, ^(C)even so the Son gives life to whom He will. ²² For the Father judges no one, but ^(D)has committed all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. ^(E)He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

²⁴ “Most assuredly, I say to you, ^(F)he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, ^(G)but has passed from death into life. ²⁵ Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when ^(H)the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For ^(I)as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have ^(J)life in Himself, ²⁷ and ^(K)has given Him authority to execute judgment also, ^(L)because He is the Son of Man.
