³⁰ “This will be the sign^(A) for you, Hezekiah:

²⁹ “This will be the sign^(A) for you, Hezekiah:

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you^[a] a sign:^(A) The virgin^[b](B) will conceive and give birth to a son,^(C) and^[c] will call him Immanuel.^[d](D)

⁹ Isaiah answered, “This is the Lord’s sign^(A) to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?”

³ That same day the man of God gave a sign:^(A) “This is the sign the Lord has declared: The altar will be split apart and the ashes on it will be poured out.”

⁴ When King Jeroboam heard what the man of God cried out against the altar at Bethel, he stretched out his hand from the altar and said, “Seize him!” But the hand he stretched out toward the man shriveled up, so that he could not pull it back. ⁵ Also, the altar was split apart and its ashes poured out according to the sign given by the man of God by the word of the Lord.

⁴ But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest,^(A) a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.^{(B) 5} Do not reap what grows of itself^(C) or harvest the grapes^(D) of your untended vines.^(E) The land is to have a year of rest.

¹² And God said, “I will be with you.^(A) And this will be the sign^(B) to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you^[a] will worship God on this mountain.^(C)”

⁷ “‘This is the Lord’s sign^(A) to you that the Lord will do what he has promised:

²¹ In that day,^(A) a person will keep alive a young cow and two goats.^{(B) 22} And because of the abundance of the milk they give, there will be curds to eat. All who remain in the land will eat curds^(C) and honey.^{(D) 23} In that day,^(E) in every place where there were a thousand vines worth a thousand silver shekels,^[a](F) there will be only briers and thorns.^{(G) 24} Hunters will go there with bow and arrow, for the land will be covered with briers^(H) and thorns. ²⁵ As for all the hills^(I) once cultivated by the hoe, you will no longer go there for fear of the briers and thorns;^(J) they will become places where cattle are turned loose and where sheep run.^(K)
