^14 (A)The sons of those who afflicted you
    shall come bending low to you,
^(B)and all who despised you
    shall bow down at your feet;
^(C)they shall call you the City of the Lord,
    the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

^16 (A)Therefore all who devour you shall be devoured,
    and ^(B)all your foes, every one of them, shall go into captivity;
^(C)those who plunder you shall be plundered,
    ^(D)and all who prey on you I will make a prey.

^25 (A)He shall speak words against the Most High,
    and shall wear out the saints of the Most High,
    and shall think to ^(B)change the times and the law;
and they shall be given into his hand
    for ^(C)a time, times, and half a time.
^26 (D)But the court shall sit in judgment,
    and ^(E)his dominion shall be taken away,
    to be consumed and destroyed ^(F)to the end.
^27 (G)And the kingdom and the dominion
    and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven
    shall be given to the people of ^(H)the saints of the Most High;
^(I)his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom,
    and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’^[a]

⁹ For ^(A)the coastlands shall hope for me,
    ^(B)the ships of Tarshish first,
^(C)to bring your children from afar,
    their silver and gold with them,
for the name of the Lord your God,
    and for the Holy One of Israel,
    because ^(D)he has made you beautiful.

^20 (A)Rejoice over her, O heaven,
    and you saints and ^(B)apostles and prophets,
for ^(C)God has given judgment for you against her!”

^23 (A)Kings shall be your foster fathers,
    and their queens your nursing mothers.
^(B)With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,
    and ^(C)lick the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord;
    ^(D)those who wait for me ^(E)shall not be put to shame.”
