2 Lo que[a] vio Isaías, hijo de Amoz, con relación a Judá y Jerusalén(A).
2 ¶(B)Acontecerá en los postreros días,
Que el monte(C) de la casa del Señor
Será establecido como[b] cabeza de los montes.
Se alzará sobre los collados,
Y confluirán a él todas las naciones(D).
3 Vendrán muchos pueblos, y dirán:
«Vengan, subamos al monte del Señor,
A la casa del Dios de Jacob,
Para que nos enseñe acerca de Sus caminos,
Y andemos en Sus sendas».
Porque de Sión saldrá la ley[c],
Y de Jerusalén la palabra del Señor(E).
4 Él juzgará entre las naciones,
Y hará decisiones por[d] muchos pueblos.
Forjarán sus espadas en rejas de arado(F),
Y sus lanzas en podaderas.
No alzará espada nación contra nación,
Ni se adiestrarán más para la guerra(G).
5 ¶Casa de Jacob(H), vengan y caminemos a la luz del Señor(I).
6 Ciertamente has abandonado a Tu pueblo(J), la casa de Jacob,
Porque están llenos de costumbres del oriente,
Son adivinos como los filisteos(K),
Y hacen tratos[e] con hijos de extranjeros(L).
7 Se ha llenado su tierra de plata y de oro,
Y no tienen fin sus tesoros.
Su tierra se ha llenado de caballos,
Y no tienen fin sus carros(M).
8 También su tierra se ha llenado de ídolos(N).
Adoran la obra de sus manos(O),
Lo que han hecho sus dedos.
9 Ha sido humillado el hombre común,
Y ha sido abatido el hombre de importancia(P);
Pero no los perdones(Q).
10 Métete en la roca, y escóndete en el polvo(R)
Del terror del Señor y del esplendor de Su majestad(S).
11 La mirada altiva[f] del hombre será abatida(T),
Y humillada la soberbia de los hombres(U).
Solo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día.
12 ¶Porque el día del Señor de los ejércitos vendrá
Contra todo el que es soberbio y orgulloso(V),
Contra todo el que se ha ensalzado,
Y serán abatidos.
13 Y esto será contra todos los cedros del Líbano
Altos y erguidos,
Contra todas las encinas de Basán(W),
14 Contra todos los montes encumbrados(X),
Contra todos los collados elevados,
15 Contra toda torre alta(Y),
Contra toda muralla fortificada,
16 Contra todas las naves de Tarsis(Z)
Y contra toda obra de arte preciada.
17 Será humillado el orgullo del hombre
Y abatido el orgullo de los hombres.
Solo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día,
18 Y los ídolos desaparecerán por completo(AA).
19 Los hombres se meterán en las cuevas de las rocas
Y en las hendiduras de la tierra[g],
Ante el terror del Señor
Y ante el esplendor de Su majestad(AB),
Cuando Él se levante para hacer temblar la tierra(AC).
20 Aquel día el hombre arrojará a los topos y a los murciélagos(AD),
Sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro(AE)
Que se había hecho para adorarlos.
21 Y se meterá[h] en las cavernas de las rocas y en las hendiduras de las peñas,
Ante el terror del Señor y ante el esplendor de Su majestad,
Cuando Él se levante para hacer temblar la tierra(AF).
22 Dejen de considerar al[i] hombre(AG), cuyo soplo de vida está en su nariz.
Pues ¿en qué ha de ser él estimado(AH)?

2 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?

The Mountain of the Lord(A)
2 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:(B)
2 In the last days(C)
the mountain(D) of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;(E)
it will be exalted(F) above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.(G)
3 Many peoples(H) will come and say,
“Come, let us go(I) up to the mountain(J) of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law(K) will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.(L)
4 He will judge(M) between the nations
and will settle disputes(N) for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.(O)
Nation will not take up sword against nation,(P)
nor will they train for war anymore.
The Day of the Lord
6 You, Lord, have abandoned(S) your people,
the descendants of Jacob.(T)
They are full of superstitions from the East;
they practice divination(U) like the Philistines(V)
and embrace(W) pagan customs.(X)
7 Their land is full of silver and gold;(Y)
there is no end to their treasures.(Z)
Their land is full of horses;(AA)
there is no end to their chariots.(AB)
8 Their land is full of idols;(AC)
they bow down(AD) to the work of their hands,(AE)
to what their fingers(AF) have made.
9 So people will be brought low(AG)
and everyone humbled(AH)—
do not forgive them.[a](AI)
10 Go into the rocks, hide(AJ) in the ground
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty!(AK)
11 The eyes of the arrogant(AL) will be humbled(AM)
and human pride(AN) brought low;(AO)
the Lord alone will be exalted(AP) in that day.(AQ)
12 The Lord Almighty has a day(AR) in store
for all the proud(AS) and lofty,(AT)
for all that is exalted(AU)
(and they will be humbled),(AV)
13 for all the cedars of Lebanon,(AW) tall and lofty,(AX)
and all the oaks of Bashan,(AY)
14 for all the towering mountains
and all the high hills,(AZ)
15 for every lofty tower(BA)
and every fortified wall,(BB)
16 for every trading ship[b](BC)
and every stately vessel.
17 The arrogance of man will be brought low(BD)
and human pride humbled;(BE)
the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,(BF)
18 and the idols(BG) will totally disappear.(BH)
19 People will flee to caves(BI) in the rocks
and to holes in the ground(BJ)
from the fearful presence(BK) of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,(BL)
when he rises to shake the earth.(BM)
20 In that day(BN) people will throw away
to the moles and bats(BO)
their idols of silver and idols of gold,(BP)
which they made to worship.(BQ)
21 They will flee to caverns in the rocks(BR)
and to the overhanging crags
from the fearful presence of the Lord
and the splendor of his majesty,(BS)
when he rises(BT) to shake the earth.(BU)

Peace That Lasts Forever
2 This is the message[a] I was given about Judah and Jerusalem:
2 In the future, the mountain
with the Lord's temple
will be the highest of all.
It will reach above the hills;
every nation will rush to it.
3 Many people will come and say,
“Let's go to the mountain
of the Lord God of Jacob
and worship in his temple.”
The Lord will teach us his Law
from Jerusalem,
and we will obey him.
4 (A) He will settle arguments
between nations.
They will pound their swords
and their spears
into rakes and shovels;
they will never make war
or attack one another.
5 People of Israel, let's live
by the light of the Lord.
Following Sinful Customs
6 Our Lord, you have deserted
your people, Israel,
because they follow customs
of nations from the east.
They worship Philistine gods
and are close friends
of foreigners.[b]
7 They have endless treasures
of silver and gold;
they have countless horses
and war chariots.
8 Everywhere in the country
they worship the idols
they have made.
9 And so, all of them
will be ashamed and disgraced.
Don't forgive them!
A Day of Judgment
10 (B) Every one of you,
go hide among the rocks
and in the ground,
because the Lord is fearsome,
marvelous, and glorious.
11 When the Lord comes,
everyone who is proud
will be made humble,
and the Lord alone
will be honored.
12 The Lord All-Powerful
has chosen a day
when those who are proud
and conceited
will be put down.
13 The tall and towering
cedars of Lebanon
will be destroyed.
So will the oak trees of Bashan,
14 all high mountains and hills,
15 every strong fortress,
16 all the seagoing ships,[c]
and every beautiful boat.
17 When that day comes,
everyone who is proud
will be put down.
Only the Lord will be honored.
18 Idols will be gone for good.
19 You had better hide
in caves and holes—
the Lord will be fearsome,
marvelous, and glorious
when he comes to terrify
people on earth.
20 On that day everyone will throw
to the moles and bats
their idols of silver and gold
they made to worship.
21 The Lord will be fearsome,
marvelous, and glorious
when he comes to terrify
people on earth—
they will hide in caves
and in the hills.
22 Stop trusting the power
of humans.
They are all going to die,
so how can they help?

Vững lập trên đỉnh các núi,
Được nâng cao hơn các đồi,
Và mọi quốc gia sẽ đổ về đó.
3 Nhiều dân tộc sẽ đến và nói:
“Hãy đến, chúng ta hãy lên núi CHÚA,
Đến nhà Đức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp.
Ngài sẽ dạy chúng ta đường lối Ngài,

Vì Kinh Luật sẽ ra từ Si-ôn

Và thầy bói như người Phi-li-tin;
Bắt tay[b] với con cái người ngoại quốc.
7 Đất họ đầy bạc và vàng,
Châu báu vô tận,
Đất họ đầy ngựa
Và xe ngựa vô số.
8 Đất họ đầy tượng thần;
Họ quì lạy đồ tay mình làm ra,
Là vật ngón tay họ đã tạo nên.
9 Nhưng phàm nhân sẽ bị nhục nhã,
Loài người sẽ bị hạ thấp.
Nên, xin Ngài đừng tha thứ chúng.
10 Hãy chui vào trong đá,
Trốn trong bụi đất
Để tránh đối diện với sự kinh hoàng từ CHÚA
Và vinh quang của sự uy nghiêm Ngài.
11 Con mắt kiêu căng của người ta sẽ cụp xuống;
Sự cao ngạo của loài người sẽ bị hạ thấp.
Vào ngày ấy chỉ một mình CHÚA sẽ được tôn cao.
12 Vì có một ngày CHÚA Vạn Quân sẽ đến nghịch
Cùng tất cả những kẻ kiêu căng,
Kẻ cao ngạo cùng tất cả những kẻ kiêu kỳ;
Nó sẽ bị hạ thấp;[c]
13 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả cây tùng của Li-ban, cao ngạo và kiêu kỳ;
Cùng tất cả cây sồi của Ba-san.
14 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả núi cao,
Tất cả đồi lớn,
15 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả tháp cao,
Mọi thành vững chắc,
16 Cũng sẽ nghịch cùng tất cả tầu bè của Ta-rê-si,
