16 Envíen el cordero del tributo al gobernante de la tierra(A),
Desde Sela[a](B) en el desierto al monte de la hija de Sión(C).
2 -»Entonces como aves fugitivas[b] o nidada dispersa[c](D),
Serán las hijas de Moab(E) en los vados del Arnón(F).
3 -»Danos[d] consejo, toma una decisión.
Da[e] tu sombra como la noche en pleno mediodía[f](G);
Esconde a los desterrados(H), no entregues al fugitivo.
4 -»Quédense contigo los desterrados de Moab[g];
Sé para ellos escondedero ante el destructor».
Porque ha llegado a su fin el explotador, ha cesado la destrucción,
Han desaparecido[h] los opresores de la tierra(I).
5 Un trono se establecerá en la misericordia,
Y en él se sentará con fidelidad, en la tienda de David,
Un juez que busque lo justo
Y esté presto a la justicia(J).
6 ¶Hemos oído del orgullo de Moab, un orgullo extremado,
De su arrogancia, de su orgullo y de su furor(K);
Son falsas[i] sus vanas jactancias(L).
7 Por tanto, Moab gemirá por Moab; todo él gemirá.
Por las tortas de pasas(M) de Kir Hareset(N) se lamentarán,
Abatidos por completo.
8 Porque los campos de Hesbón(O) se han marchitado[j], también las vides de Sibma(P).
Los señores de las naciones pisotearon sus mejores racimos,
Hasta Jazer alcanzaban y se extendían por el desierto;
Sus sarmientos se extendían y pasaban el mar(Q).
9 Por eso lloraré amargamente por Jazer, por la viña de Sibma(R).
Te bañaré[k] con mis lágrimas, oh Hesbón y Eleale(S),
Porque sobre tus frutos de verano(T) y sobre tu cosecha se ha extinguido[l] el clamor,
10 Y se han retirado la alegría y el regocijo del campo fértil(U).
En las viñas nadie canta de júbilo ni grita de alegría(V).
El pisador no pisa vino en los lagares(W),
Pues he hecho cesar el clamor.
11 Por eso mis entrañas vibran[m] por Moab como un arpa[n],
Y mi interior por Kir Hareset(X).
12 Y sucederá que cuando Moab se presente(Y),
Cuando se fatigue(Z) sobre su lugar alto(AA),
Y venga a su santuario para orar,
No prevalecerá.
13 Esta es la palabra que el Señor habló antes acerca de Moab. 14 Pero ahora el Señor dice: «Dentro de tres años, como los contaría un jornalero[o](AB), la gloria de Moab(AC) será despreciada con toda su gran muchedumbre, y su remanente será muy pequeño y débil[p]».

16 Envíen corderos al gobernante del país,
desde Selá, por el desierto,
y hasta el monte de la hija de Sión.
2 Las mujeres de Moab,
en los cruces del Arnón,
parecen aves que, espantadas,
huyen de su nido.
3 «Danos un consejo;
toma una decisión.
A plena luz del día,
extiende tu sombra como la noche.
Esconde a los fugitivos;
no traiciones a los refugiados.
4 Deja que los fugitivos de Moab
encuentren en ti un refugio;
¡protégelos del destructor!».
Cuando la opresión llegue a su fin
y la destrucción se acabe,
el agresor desaparecerá de la tierra.
5 El trono se fundará en el amor
y uno de la casa de David
reinará sobre él con fidelidad:
será un juez celoso del derecho
y experto en hacer justicia.
6 Hemos sabido que Moab
es extremadamente orgulloso;
hemos sabido de su soberbia, de su orgullo y arrogancia,
de su charlatanería sin sentido.
7 Por eso gimen los moabitas;
todos ellos gimen por Moab.
Laméntense, aflíjanse,
por las tortas de pasas de Quir Jaréset.
8 Se han marchitado los campos de Hesbón,
lo mismo que la viña de Sibmá.
Los gobernantes de las naciones
han pisoteado los viñedos más selectos,
los que llegaban hasta Jazer
y se extendían hacia el desierto.
Sus retoños se extendían
y cruzaban el mar.
9 Por eso lloro, como llora Jazer,
por la viña de Sibmá.
¡Y a ustedes, ciudades de Hesbón y de Elalé,
las empapo con mis lágrimas!
Se han acallado los gritos de alegría
por tu fruto maduro y tus cosechas.
10 Ya no hay en los huertos alegría ni regocijo.
Nadie canta ni grita en los viñedos,
nadie pisa la uva en los lagares;
yo puse fin al clamor en la vendimia.
11 Por eso vibran mis entrañas por Moab
como las cuerdas de un arpa;
vibra todo mi ser por Quir Jares.
12 Por más que acuda Moab a sus altares paganos
no logrará sino fatigarse;
cuando vaya a orar a su santuario,
todo lo que haga será en vano.
13 Esta es la palabra que el Señor pronunció en el pasado contra Moab. 14 Pero ahora el Señor dice: «Dentro de tres años, contados como los cuenta un jornalero, el esplendor de Moab y de toda su inmensa multitud será despreciado, y pocos y débiles serán sus sobrevivientes».

to the ruler of the land,
from Sela,(C) across the desert,
to the mount of Daughter Zion.(D)
2 Like fluttering birds
pushed from the nest,(E)
so are the women of Moab(F)
at the fords(G) of the Arnon.(H)
3 “Make up your mind,” Moab says.
“Render a decision.
Make your shadow like night—
at high noon.
Hide the fugitives,(I)
do not betray the refugees.
4 Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you;
be their shelter(J) from the destroyer.”
The oppressor(K) will come to an end,
and destruction will cease;(L)
the aggressor will vanish from the land.
5 In love a throne(M) will be established;(N)
in faithfulness a man will sit on it—
one from the house[a] of David(O)—
one who in judging seeks justice(P)
and speeds the cause of righteousness.
6 We have heard of Moab’s(Q) pride(R)—
how great is her arrogance!—
of her conceit, her pride and her insolence;
but her boasts are empty.
7 Therefore the Moabites wail,(S)
they wail together for Moab.
Lament and grieve
for the raisin cakes(T) of Kir Hareseth.(U)
8 The fields of Heshbon(V) wither,(W)
the vines of Sibmah(X) also.
The rulers of the nations
have trampled down the choicest vines,(Y)
which once reached Jazer(Z)
and spread toward the desert.
Their shoots spread out(AA)
and went as far as the sea.[b](AB)
9 So I weep,(AC) as Jazer weeps,
for the vines of Sibmah.
Heshbon and Elealeh,(AD)
I drench you with tears!(AE)
The shouts of joy(AF) over your ripened fruit
and over your harvests(AG) have been stilled.
10 Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards;(AH)
no one sings or shouts(AI) in the vineyards;
no one treads(AJ) out wine at the presses,(AK)
for I have put an end to the shouting.
11 My heart laments for Moab(AL) like a harp,(AM)
my inmost being(AN) for Kir Hareseth.
12 When Moab appears at her high place,(AO)
she only wears herself out;
when she goes to her shrine(AP) to pray,
it is to no avail.(AQ)
13 This is the word the Lord has already spoken concerning Moab. 14 But now the Lord says: “Within three years,(AR) as a servant bound by contract(AS) would count them,(AT) Moab’s splendor and all her many people will be despised,(AU) and her survivors will be very few and feeble.”(AV)

2 在亚嫩河渡口，
摩押人[a]如同被赶离巢穴的飞鸟。
3 他们对犹大人说：“给我们出个主意，伸张正义吧！
请让你们的影子在正午如黑夜，
遮盖逃难的人，
不要出卖逃亡者。
4 让我们这些逃难的摩押人留在你们那里，
好躲避毁灭者。”
欺压和毁灭之事终必停止，
入侵者终必从地上消失。
5 那时，必有一个宝座在爱中坚立，
大卫家的人必坐在上面以信实治国，
秉公审判，速行公义。
6 我们听说摩押人心骄气傲、狂妄自大，
然而他们所夸耀的都是虚假的。
7 他们必为摩押哀哭，
人人都必哀哭，

16 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.
3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.
7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.
10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.
11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.
12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.
13 This is the word that the Lord hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.
14 But now the Lord hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
