17 Şi veţi şti(A) că Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, care locuieşte în Sion, muntele Meu cel sfânt(B). Ierusalimul însă va fi sfânt şi nu vor mai trece străinii(C) prin el. 18 În vremea aceea, va picura must(D) din munţi şi va curge lapte din dealuri, toate pâraiele(E) lui Iuda vor fi pline de apă. Un izvor(F) va ieşi, de asemenea, din Casa Domnului şi va uda valea Sitim(G). 19 Egiptul(H) va ajunge pustiu, Edomul(I) va ajunge o pustie stearpă din pricina silniciei făcute împotriva copiilor lui Iuda, al căror sânge nevinovat l-au vărsat în ţara lor.

Blessings for God’s People

17 “Then you will know(A) that I, the Lord your God,(B)
    dwell in Zion,(C) my holy hill.(D)
Jerusalem will be holy;(E)
    never again will foreigners invade her.(F)

18 “In that day the mountains will drip new wine,(G)
    and the hills will flow with milk;(H)
    all the ravines of Judah will run with water.(I)
A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house(J)
    and will water the valley of acacias.[a](K)
19 But Egypt(L) will be desolate,
    Edom(M) a desert waste,
because of violence(N) done to the people of Judah,
    in whose land they shed innocent blood.
