1 Peter 1:16-21

16 since it is written, (A)“You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 17 And if you (B)call on him as Father who (C)judges (D)impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves (E)with fear throughout the time of your exile, 18 knowing that you (F)were ransomed from (G)the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but (H)with the precious blood of Christ, like that of (I)a lamb (J)without blemish or spot. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but (K)was made manifest (L)in the last times for the sake of you 21 (M)who through him are believers in God, (N)who raised him from the dead and (O)gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

17 Since you call on a Father(B) who judges each person’s work(C) impartially,(D) live out your time as foreigners(E) here in reverent fear.(F) 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed(G) from the empty way of life(H) handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood(I) of Christ, a lamb(J) without blemish or defect.(K) 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world,(L) but was revealed in these last times(M) for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God,(N) who raised him from the dead(O) and glorified him,(P) and so your faith and hope(Q) are in God.
