4 I will have no pity on her children because they are the children of prostitution. 5 Their mother has acted like a prostitute. She should be ashamed of what she did. She said, ‘I will go to my lovers,[a] who give me food and water, wool and linen, wine and olive oil.’
6 “So I, the Lord, will block Israel’s road with thorns, and I will build a wall. Then she will not be able to find her path.

and has conceived them in disgrace.

who give me my food and my water,
my wool and my linen, my olive oil and my drink.’(D)
6 Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes;
I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way.(E)
