Israel's Unfaithfulness Punished

2 ^[a] Say to your brothers, ^(A)“You are my people,”^[b] and to your sisters, ^(B)“You have received mercy.”^[c]

^10 (A)Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

¹³ though formerly I was a blasphemer, ^(A)persecutor, and insolent opponent. But ^(B)I received mercy ^(C)because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

4 Therefore, having ^(A)this ministry ^(B)by the mercy of God,^[a] we do not lose heart.

³⁰ For just as ^(A)you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, ³¹ so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now^[a] receive mercy.

⁹ And the Lord said, ^(A)“Call his name Not My People,^[a] for ^(B)you are not my people, and I am not your God.”^[b]

^10 [c] Yet ^(C)the number of the children of Israel shall be ^(D)like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. ^(E)And ^(F)in the place where it was said to them, ^(G)“You are not my people,” it shall be said to them, ^(H)“Children^[d] of ^(I)the living God.” ¹¹ And ^(J)the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and ^(K)they shall appoint for themselves one head. And they shall go up from the land, for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

^27 (A)My dwelling place shall be with them, ^(B)and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
