Return to the Lord

12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    (A)“return to me with all your heart,
(B)with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13     and (C)rend your hearts and not (D)your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
    (E)for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
    (F)and he relents over disaster.

(E)Do not now be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, (F)that his fierce anger may turn away from you. For (G)if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your children (H)will find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For (I)the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, (J)if you return to him.”
