Pablo en Corinto
18 Después de esto Pablo salió de Atenas(A) y fue a Corinto(B). 2 Y se encontró con un judío que se llamaba Aquila(C), natural del Ponto(D), quien acababa de llegar de Italia(E) con Priscila(F) su mujer, pues Claudio(G) había ordenado a todos los judíos que salieran de Roma. Fue a ellos, 3 y como él era del mismo oficio, se quedó con ellos y trabajaban(H) juntos, pues el oficio de ellos era hacer tiendas. 4 Y discutía en la sinagoga(I) todos los días de reposo(J), y trataba de persuadir a judíos y a griegos(K).
5 Cuando Silas y Timoteo(L) descendieron(M) de Macedonia(N), Pablo se dedicaba por completo a la predicación de la palabra, testificando solemnemente a los judíos(O) que Jesús era el Cristo[a](P). 6 Pero cuando ellos se le opusieron y blasfemaron, él sacudió sus ropas(Q) y les dijo: Vuestra sangre sea sobre vuestras cabezas(R); yo soy limpio; desde ahora me iré a los gentiles(S). 7 Y partiendo de allí, se fue a la casa de un hombre llamado Ticio[b] Justo, que adoraba a Dios(T), cuya casa estaba junto a la sinagoga. 8 Y Crispo(U), el oficial[c](V) de la sinagoga, creyó en el Señor con toda su casa(W), y muchos de los corintios(X), al oír, creían y eran bautizados. 9 Y por medio de una visión(Y) durante la noche, el Señor dijo a Pablo: No temas, sigue hablando y no calles; 10 porque yo estoy contigo, y nadie te atacará para hacerte daño, porque yo tengo mucho pueblo en esta ciudad. 11 Y se quedó allí un año y seis meses, enseñando la palabra de Dios entre ellos.
Pablo ante Galión
12 Pero siendo Galión procónsul(Z) de Acaya(AA), los judíos(AB) se levantaron a una contra Pablo y lo trajeron ante el tribunal(AC), 13 diciendo: Este persuade a los hombres a que adoren a Dios en forma contraria a la ley(AD). 14 Y cuando Pablo iba a hablar[d](AE), Galión dijo a los judíos: Si fuera cuestión de una injusticia o de un crimen depravado, oh judíos, yo os toleraría, como sería razonable. 15 Pero si son cuestiones de palabras y nombres, y de vuestra propia ley(AF), allá vosotros; no estoy dispuesto a ser juez de estas cosas. 16 Y los echó del tribunal(AG). 17 Entonces todos ellos le echaron mano a Sóstenes(AH), el oficial[e] de la sinagoga(AI), y lo golpeaban frente al tribunal(AJ), pero Galión no hacía caso de nada de esto.
Fin del segundo viaje misionero de Pablo, y principio del tercero
18 Y Pablo, después de quedarse muchos días más, se despidió(AK) de los hermanos(AL) y se embarcó hacia Siria(AM), y con él iban Priscila y Aquila(AN). Y en Cencrea(AO) se hizo cortar el cabello, porque tenía hecho un voto(AP). 19 Llegaron a Efeso(AQ) y los dejó allí. Y entrando él a la sinagoga, discutía con los judíos(AR). 20 Cuando le rogaron que se quedara más tiempo, no consintió, 21 sino que se despidió de ellos(AS), diciendo[f]: Volveré a vosotros otra vez, si Dios quiere(AT). Y zarpó de Efeso(AU).
22 Al desembarcar en Cesarea(AV), subió a Jerusalén para saludar a la iglesia, y luego descendió a Antioquía(AW). 23 Y después de pasar allí algún tiempo, salió, recorriendo por orden la región de Galacia y de Frigia(AX), fortaleciendo a todos los discípulos.
Apolos en Efeso
24 Llegó entonces a Efeso(AY) un judío que se llamaba Apolos(AZ), natural de Alejandría(BA), hombre elocuente[g], y que era poderoso en las Escrituras. 25 Este había sido instruido en el camino del Señor(BB), y siendo ferviente de espíritu, hablaba y enseñaba con exactitud las cosas referentes a Jesús, aunque solo conocía el bautismo de Juan(BC). 26 Y comenzó a hablar con denuedo en la sinagoga. Pero cuando Priscila y Aquila(BD) lo oyeron, lo llevaron aparte y le explicaron con mayor exactitud el camino de Dios(BE). 27 Cuando él quiso pasar a Acaya(BF), los hermanos(BG) lo animaron, y escribieron a los discípulos(BH) que lo recibieran; y cuando llegó, ayudó mucho a los que por la gracia habían creído[h], 28 porque refutaba vigorosamente en público a los judíos, demostrando por las Escrituras(BI) que Jesús era el Cristo[i](BJ).

In Corinth
18 After these things he departed (A)Athens and went to (B)Corinth. 2 And he found a Jew named (C)Aquila, a native of (D)Pontus, and his wife (E)Priscilla, who recently came from (F)Italy because (G)Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome. He came to them, 3 and because he was of the same trade, he was staying with them and (H)they were working, for by trade they were tent-makers. 4 And he was reasoning (I)in the synagogue every (J)Sabbath and trying to persuade both (K)Jews and Greeks.
5 But when (L)Silas and Timothy (M)came down from (N)Macedonia, Paul began devoting himself completely to the word, solemnly (O)bearing witness to the Jews that (P)Jesus is the [a]Christ. 6 But when they resisted and blasphemed, he (Q)shook out his garments and said to them, “Your (R)blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on I will go (S)to the Gentiles.” 7 Then he left there and went to the house of a man named [b]Titius Justus, a (T)God-fearer, whose house was next to the synagogue. 8 (U)And Crispus, (V)the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord (W)with all his household, and many of the (X)Corinthians when they heard were believing and being baptized. 9 And the Lord said to Paul in the night by (Y)a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent; 10 for I am with you, and no man will lay a hand on you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city.” 11 And he stayed there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
12 But while Gallio was (Z)proconsul of (AA)Achaia, (AB)the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him before (AC)the judgment seat, 13 saying, “This man persuades men to worship God contrary to (AD)the law.” 14 But when Paul was about to (AE)open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, “If it were a wrongdoing or vicious crime, O Jews, it would be reasonable for me to put up with you; 15 but if there are (AF)questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves; I am not willing to be a judge of these matters.” 16 And he drove them away from (AG)the judgment seat. 17 And they all took hold of (AH)Sosthenes, (AI)the leader of the synagogue, and began beating him in front of (AJ)the judgment seat. But Gallio was not concerned about any of these things.
Priscilla, Aquila, and Apollos
18 And Paul, having remained many days longer, (AK)took leave of (AL)the brothers and put out to sea for (AM)Syria, and with him were (AN)Priscilla and (AO)Aquila. In (AP)Cenchreae [c]he (AQ)had his hair cut, for he was keeping a vow. 19 And they arrived at (AR)Ephesus, and he left them there. Now he himself entered (AS)the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20 When they asked him to stay for a longer time, he did not consent, 21 but (AT)taking leave of them and saying, “I will return to you again (AU)if God wills,” he set sail from (AV)Ephesus.
22 And when he had landed at (AW)Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and went down to (AX)Antioch. 23 And having spent some time there, he left and passed successively through the (AY)Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
24 Now a Jew named (AZ)Apollos, an (BA)Alexandrian by birth, [d]an eloquent man, arrived at (BB)Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. 25 This man had been instructed in (BC)the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with (BD)the baptism of John; 26 and [e]he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when (BE)Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him (BF)the way of God more accurately. 27 And when he wanted to go across to (BG)Achaia, (BH)the brothers encouraged him and wrote to (BI)the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly [f]helped those who had believed through grace, 28 for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating (BJ)by the Scriptures that (BK)Jesus is the [g]Christ.
