14 ¶ Y aconteció en Iconio, que entrados juntamente en la sinagoga de los judíos, hablaron de tal manera, que creyó una grande multitud de judíos, y asimismo de griegos.
2 Mas los judíos que fueron desobedientes, incitaron y corrompieron los ánimos de los gentiles contra los hermanos.
3 Con todo eso se detuvieron allí mucho tiempo, hablando con libertad en el Señor, el cual daba testimonio a la palabra de su gracia, dando que señales y milagros eran hechos por las manos de ellos.
4 Y el vulgo de la ciudad estaba dividido; y unos eran con los judíos, y otros con los apóstoles.
5 Y haciendo ímpetu los judíos y los gentiles juntamente con sus príncipes, para afrentarlos y apedrearlos,
6 habiéndolo entendido, huyeron a Listra y Derbe, ciudades de Licaonia, y por toda la tierra alrededor.
7 Y allí predicaban el Evangelio.
8 ¶ Y un hombre de Listra, impotente de los pies, estaba sentado, cojo desde el vientre de su madre, y jamás había andado.
9 Este oyó hablar a Pablo; el cual, como puso los ojos en él, y vio que tenía fe para ser sanado,
10 dijo a gran voz: Levántate derecho sobre tus pies. Y saltó, y anduvo.
11 Entonces la multitud, visto lo que Pablo había hecho, alzaron la voz, diciendo en lengua licaónica: Dioses semejantes a hombres han descendido a nosotros.
12 Y a Bernabé llamaban Júpiter, y a Pablo, Mercurio, porque era el que llevaba la palabra.
13 Y el sacerdote de Júpiter, que estaba delante de la ciudad de ellos, trayendo toros y guirnaldas delante de las puertas, quería con el pueblo sacrificarles.
14 Cuando lo oyeron los apóstoles Bernabé y Pablo, rotas sus ropas, se lanzaron a la multitud, dando voces,
15 y diciendo: Varones, ¿por qué hacéis esto? Nosotros también somos hombres semejantes a vosotros, que os anunciamos que de estas vanidades os convirtáis al Dios vivo, que hizo el cielo y la tierra, y el mar, y todo lo que está en ellos;
16 el cual en las generaciones pasadas ha dejado a todos los gentiles andar en sus caminos;
17 si bien no se dejó a sí mismo sin testimonio, haciendo bien, dándonos lluvias del cielo y tiempos fructíferos, llenando de sustento y de alegría nuestros corazones.
18 Y diciendo estas cosas, apenas apaciguaron la gente, para que no les ofrecieran sacrificio.
19 ¶ Entonces sobrevinieron unos judíos de Antioquía y de Iconio, que persuadieron a la multitud, y habiendo apedreado a Pablo, le sacaron fuera de la ciudad, pensando que ya estaba muerto.
20 Pero rodeándole los discípulos, se levantó y entró en la ciudad y un día después, salió con Bernabé a Derbe.
21 Y como hubieron anunciado el Evangelio a aquella ciudad, y enseñado a muchos, volvieron a Listra, y a Iconio, y a Antioquía,
22 confirmando los ánimos de los discípulos, exhortándoles a que permanecieran en la fe, y enseñándoles que es necesario que por muchas tribulaciones entremos en el Reino de Dios.
23 Y habiéndoles constituido ancianos en cada una de las Iglesias, y habiendo orado con ayunos, los encomendaron al Señor en el cual habían creído.
24 Y pasando por Pisidia vinieron a Panfilia.
25 Y habiendo predicado la Palabra en Perge, descendieron a Atalia;
26 y de allí navegaron a Antioquía, donde habían sido encomendados a la gracia de Dios para la obra que habían acabado.
27 Y habiendo llegado, y reunida la Iglesia, relataron cuán grandes cosas había hecho Dios con ellos, y cómo había abierto a los gentiles la puerta de la fe.
28 Y se quedaron allí mucho tiempo con los discípulos.

Sa Iconio
14 Ganoon din ang nangyari sa Iconio. Magkasamang pumasok sina Pablo at Bernabe sa sinagoga ng mga Judio. Nangaral sila roon at marami sa mga Judio at Griyego ang sumampalataya. 2 Ngunit ang mga Hentil ay inudyukan ng mga Judiong ayaw sumampalataya, at nilason ang kanilang mga pag-iisip laban sa mga kapatid. 3 Dahil dito'y matagal na nanatili roon sina Pablo at Bernabe at buong tapang na nangaral para sa Panginoon. Pinatunayan naman ng Panginoon ang pangangaral nila tungkol sa kanyang kagandahang-loob sa pamamagitan ng mga himala at mga kababalaghang kanilang ginagawa. 4 Kaya't nagkabaha-bahagi ang mga mamamayan ng lungsod. Ang iba ay pumanig sa mga Judio, ang iba nama'y sa mga apostol. 5 Pinagtangkaan ng mga Hentil at ng mga Judio, kasama ang kanilang mga pinuno, na saktan at batuhin ang mga apostol. 6 Subalit nang nalaman iyon ng dalawa, sila'y tumakas patungong Listra at Derbe, mga lungsod ng Licaonia, at sa mga karatig na lupain. 7 Ipinangaral nila roon ang Magandang Balita.
Sa Listra
8 Sa Listra ay may isang lalaking kailanma'y hindi makalakad sapagkat lumpo na mula nang ipanganak. 9 Nakinig siya sa pangangaral ni Pablo. Nang titigan siya ni Pablo at makitang mayroon siyang pananampalataya upang mapagaling, 10 malakas niyang sinabi, “Tumayo ka nang tuwid!” Lumukso ang lalaki at nagsimulang maglakad. 11 Nang makita ng maraming tao ang ginawa ni Pablo, nagsigawan sila sa wikang Licaonia, “Bumaba sa atin ang mga diyos sa anyong tao!” 12 Tinawag nilang Zeus si Bernabe at Hermes si Pablo, sapagkat siya ang pangunahing tagapagsalita. 13 Nagdala ng mga baka at ng mga bulaklak sa pintuan ng lungsod ang pari ni Zeus na ang templo ay nasa harap ng lungsod, sapagkat siya, kasama ng napakaraming tao, ay nais maghandog sa mga apostol.
14 Ngunit nang marinig ito ng mga apostol na sina Bernabe at Pablo, pinunit nila ang kanilang mga damit at sumisigaw na tumakbo sa gitna ng mga tao, 15 “Mga (A) ginoo, bakit ninyo ginagawa ang mga ito? Mga tao rin kaming gaya ninyo! Ipinangangaral namin sa inyo ang Magandang Balita upang talikuran na ninyo ang mga bagay na ito na walang kabuluhan at magbalik-loob kayo sa buháy na Diyos, ang lumikha ng langit, ng lupa, ng dagat, at ng lahat ng naroroon. 16 Noong nakaraang mga panahon ay hinayaan niyang lumakad ang lahat ng mga bansa sa kanilang mga sariling daan. 17 Gayunma'y hindi niya hinayaang mawalan siya ng saksi sa mga kabutihang kanyang ginawa. Binibigyan niya kayo ng ulan mula sa langit at ng mga masaganang panahon; binubusog niya kayo ng pagkain at pinupuno ng kagalakan ang inyong mga puso.” 18 Sa kabila ng mga salitang ito'y bahagya lamang nilang napigil ang napakaraming tao sa paghahandog sa kanila.
19 Ngunit dumating doon ang mga Judiong buhat sa Antioquia at Iconio; at nang maudyukan nila ang maraming tao, pinagbabato nila si Pablo at kinaladkad siya sa labas ng lungsod, sa pag-aakalang siya'y patay na. 20 Ngunit nang paligiran siya ng mga alagad, tumayo siya at pumasok sa lungsod. Kinabukasan, umalis siya kasama ni Bernabe patungong Derbe.
Ang Pagbabalik sa Antioquia
21 Ipinangaral nila ang Magandang Balita sa lungsod na iyon, at ginawang mga alagad ang marami. Pagkatapos nito'y nagbalik sila sa Listra, sa Iconio, at sa Antioquia, 22 habang pinatatatag ang loob ng mga alagad, at pinapayuhang manatiling tapat sa pananampalataya. Sinabi nila, “Daranas tayo ng maraming kapighatian bago tayo makapasok sa kaharian ng Diyos.” 23 Nagtalaga sila sa bawat iglesya ng matatandang tagapamahala. Matapos manalangin na may pag-aayuno, sila ay kanilang itinagubilin sa Panginoon na kanilang sinampalatayanan. 24 Tinahak nila ang Pisidia at nagtungo sa Pamfilia. 25 Nang makapangaral na sila sa Perga ay tumuloy sila sa Atalia. 26 Mula roon ay naglayag sila pabalik ng Antioquia. Doon sila ipinagkatiwala noon sa pagkalinga ng Diyos tungo sa gawaing ngayon ay natapos na nila. 27 Pagdating nila sa Antioquia, tinipon nila ang iglesya at iniulat ang lahat ng mga bagay na ginawa ng Diyos sa pamamagitan nila, at kung paanong binuksan niya ang pagkakataon upang sumampalataya ang mga Hentil. 28 Nanatili sila roong kasama ang mga alagad nang mahaba-habang panahon.

14 Aconteció en Iconio que entraron juntos en la sinagoga de los judíos, y hablaron de tal manera que creyó una gran multitud de judíos, y asimismo de griegos. 2 Mas los judíos que no creían excitaron y corrompieron los ánimos de los gentiles contra los hermanos. 3 Por tanto, se detuvieron allí mucho tiempo, hablando con denuedo, confiados en el Señor, el cual daba testimonio a la palabra de su gracia, concediendo que se hiciesen por las manos de ellos señales y prodigios. 4 Y la gente de la ciudad estaba dividida: unos estaban con los judíos, y otros con los apóstoles. 5 Pero cuando los judíos y los gentiles, juntamente con sus gobernantes, se lanzaron a afrentarlos y apedrearlos, 6 habiéndolo sabido, huyeron a Listra y Derbe, ciudades de Licaonia, y a toda la región circunvecina, 7 y allí predicaban el evangelio.

8 Y cierto hombre de Listra estaba sentado, imposibilitado de los pies, cojo de nacimiento, que jamás había andado. 9 Este oyó hablar a Pablo, el cual, fijando en él sus ojos, y viendo que tenía fe para ser sanado, 10 dijo a gran voz: Levántate derecho sobre tus pies. Y él saltó, y anduvo. 11 Entonces la gente, visto lo que Pablo había hecho, alzó la voz, diciendo en lengua licaónica: Dioses bajo la semejanza de hombres han descendido a nosotros. 12 Y a Bernabé llamaban Júpiter, y a Pablo, Mercurio, porque este era el que llevaba la palabra. 13 Y el sacerdote de Júpiter, cuyo templo estaba frente a la ciudad, trajo toros y guirnaldas delante de las puertas, y juntamente con la muchedumbre quería ofrecer sacrificios. 14 Cuando lo oyeron los apóstoles Bernabé y Pablo, rasgaron sus ropas, y se lanzaron entre la multitud, dando voces 15 y diciendo: Varones, ¿por qué hacéis esto? Nosotros también somos hombres semejantes a vosotros, que os anunciamos que de estas vanidades os convirtáis al Dios vivo, que hizo el cielo y la tierra, el mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay. 16 En las edades pasadas él ha dejado a todas las gentes andar en sus propios caminos; 17 si bien no se dejó a sí mismo sin testimonio, haciendo bien, dándonos lluvias del cielo y tiempos fructíferos, llenando de sustento y de alegría nuestros corazones. 18 Y diciendo estas cosas, difícilmente lograron impedir que la multitud les ofreciese sacrificio.
19 Entonces vinieron unos judíos de Antioquía y de Iconio, que persuadieron a la multitud, y habiendo apedreado a Pablo, le arrastraron fuera de la ciudad, pensando que estaba muerto. 20 Pero rodeándole los discípulos, se levantó y entró en la ciudad; y al día siguiente salió con Bernabé para Derbe. 21 Y después de anunciar el evangelio a aquella ciudad y de hacer muchos discípulos, volvieron a Listra, a Iconio y a Antioquía, 22 confirmando los ánimos de los discípulos, exhortándoles a que permaneciesen en la fe, y diciéndoles: Es necesario que a través de muchas tribulaciones entremos en el reino de Dios. 23 Y constituyeron ancianos en cada iglesia, y habiendo orado con ayunos, los encomendaron al Señor en quien habían creído.

24 Pasando luego por Pisidia, vinieron a Panfilia. 25 Y habiendo predicado la palabra en Perge, descendieron a Atalia. 26 De allí navegaron a Antioquía, desde donde habían sido encomendados a la gracia de Dios para la obra que habían cumplido. 27 Y habiendo llegado, y reunido a la iglesia, refirieron cuán grandes cosas había hecho Dios con ellos, y cómo había abierto la puerta de la fe a los gentiles. 28 Y se quedaron allí mucho tiempo con los discípulos.

In Iconium
14 At Iconium(A) Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue.(B) There they spoke so effectively that a great number(C) of Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.(D) 3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly(E) for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.(F) 4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.(G) 5 There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews,(H) together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.(I) 6 But they found out about it and fled(J) to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country, 7 where they continued to preach(K) the gospel.(L)
In Lystra and Derbe
8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth(M) and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed(N) 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!”(O) At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.(P)
11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!”(Q) 12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker.(R) 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them.
14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes(S) and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15 “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human,(T) like you. We are bringing you good news,(U) telling you to turn from these worthless things(V) to the living God,(W) who made the heavens and the earth(X) and the sea and everything in them.(Y) 16 In the past, he let(Z) all nations go their own way.(AA) 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony:(AB) He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons;(AC) he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”(AD) 18 Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
19 Then some Jews(AE) came from Antioch and Iconium(AF) and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul(AG) and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. 20 But after the disciples(AH) had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
The Return to Antioch in Syria
21 They preached the gospel(AI) in that city and won a large number(AJ) of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium(AK) and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.(AL) “We must go through many hardships(AM) to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. 23 Paul and Barnabas appointed elders[a](AN) for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting,(AO) committed them to the Lord,(AP) in whom they had put their trust. 24 After going through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia,(AQ) 25 and when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.
26 From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch,(AR) where they had been committed to the grace of God(AS) for the work they had now completed.(AT) 27 On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them(AU) and how he had opened a door(AV) of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.(AW)

2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7 And there they preached the gospel.
8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.
