Hebrews 5
New Matthew Bible
5 For every high priest that is taken from among men is ordained for man, in things pertaining to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sin. 2 He can have compassion on the ignorant and on those who are out of the way, because he himself also is compassed with infirmity – 3 concerning which infirmity he is bound to offer for sins, as well for his own part as for the people’s.
4 And no man takes honour to himself, but he who is called by God, as was Aaron. 5 So also likewise, Christ did not glorify himself to be made the high priest, but he who said to him, You are my Son, this day I have begotten you, glorified him. 6 As he also in another place speaks: You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.
7 He, in the days of his flesh, did offer up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him that was able to save him from death, and was also heard, because of his godliness. 8 And though he was God’s Son, yet he learned obedience by those things that he suffered, 9 and was made perfect, and the author of eternal salvation for all who obey him, 10 and is called by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 About this we have many things to say, which are hard to explain because you are dull of hearing. 12 For when as concerning the time you ought to be teachers, yet you need us to again teach you the first principles of the word of God, and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For everyone who is fed with milk is inexpert in the word of righteousness. For he is but a babe. 14 But strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, who through regular use have their wits exercised to judge both good and evil also.
Hebrews 5
New International Version
5 Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God,(A) to offer gifts and sacrifices(B) for sins.(C) 2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray,(D) since he himself is subject to weakness.(E) 3 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people.(F) 4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.(G)
5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory(H) of becoming a high priest.(I) But God said(J) to him,
6 And he says in another place,
7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions(N) with fervent cries and tears(O) to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard(P) because of his reverent submission.(Q) 8 Son(R) though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered(S) 9 and, once made perfect,(T) he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest(U) in the order of Melchizedek.(V)
Warning Against Falling Away(W)
11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths(X) of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!(Y) 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant,(Z) is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature,(AA) who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.(AB)

2 Na makapagtitiis na may kaamuan sa mga di nakaaalam at nangamamali, yamang siya rin naman ay nalilibid ng kahinaan;
8 Bagama't siya'y Anak, gayon may natuto ng pagtalima sa pamamagitan ng mga bagay na kaniyang tiniis;
9 At nang siya'y mapaging sakdal, ay siya ang gumawa ng walang hanggang kaligtasan ng lahat na mga nagsisitalima sa kaniya;
Hebrews 5
King James Version
5 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
