11 Let us hasten therefore to enter into that rest; lest any man fall into the same example of unbelief.

12 For the word of God is living and effectual, and more piercing than any two edged sword; and reaching unto the division of the soul and the spirit, of the joints also and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 Neither is there any creature invisible in his sight: but all things are naked and open to his eyes, to whom our speech is.

14 Having therefore a great high priest that hath passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God: let us hold fast our confession.

15 For we have not a high priest, who can not have compassion on our infirmities: but one tempted in all things like as we are, without sin.

11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.(A)

12 For the word of God(B) is alive(C) and active.(D) Sharper than any double-edged sword,(E) it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.(F) 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.(G) Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jesus the Great High Priest

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest(H) who has ascended into heaven,[a](I) Jesus the Son of God,(J) let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.(K) 15 For we do not have a high priest(L) who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are(M)—yet he did not sin.(N)
