Hebrews 10:1-4
New Matthew Bible
The old law has no power to cleanse away sin, but Christ did it with the offering of his body once and for all. An exhortation to receive this goodness of God thankfully, with patience and steadfast faith.
10 For the law, which has but the shadow of good things to come, and not the real things themselves, can never, with the sacrifices that the priests offer year by year continually, make those who come to it perfect. 2 For would not then those sacrifices have ceased to be offered, because the offerers, once purged, would have had no more conscience of sins? 3 But in those sacrifices, mention is made of sins every year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of oxen and of goats should take away sins.

Hebrews 10:1-4
Authorized (King James) Version
10 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
