Por la fe Enoc fue trasladado, sin pasar por la muerte, y no pudo ser encontrado porque Dios lo trasladó. Pero la Escritura atestigua que antes de ser trasladado agradó a Dios; ahora bien, sin fe es imposible agradarle, porque para acercarse a Dios es preciso creer que existe y que no deja sin recompensa a quienes lo buscan.

Por la fe Noé tomó en serio la advertencia sobre algo que aún no se veía, y construyó un arca para salvar a su familia. Por su fe puso en evidencia al mundo y logró heredar la salvación que se obtiene por medio de la fe.

By faith Enoch[a] was taken up so that he did not see death. He was found no more, because God had taken him, and before he was taken up he was attested to have pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

By faith Noah,[b] having been warned by God about things not yet seen, took heed and built an ark to save his household. Through his faith he condemned the world and inherited the righteousness that derives from faith.
