³ Behind ^(A)the second curtain was a second section^[a] called the Most Holy Place,

^31 (A)“And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and ^(B)fine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim ^(C)skillfully worked into it. ³² And you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold, on four bases of silver. ³³ And you shall hang ^(D)the veil from the clasps, and bring ^(E)the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy.

⁵¹ And behold, ^(A)the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And ^(B)the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

²¹ And he brought the ark into the tabernacle and ^(A)set up the veil of the screen, and screened ^(B)the ark of the testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

³ And you shall put in it the ark of the testimony, and you shall ^(A)screen the ark with the veil.

⁸ By this the Holy Spirit indicates that ^(A)the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing

^6 (A)Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord ^(B)to its place in ^(C)the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.

The Full Assurance of Faith

^19 (A)Therefore, brothers,^[a] since we have confidence to enter ^(B)the holy places by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by ^(C)the new and living way that he opened for us through ^(D)the curtain, that is, through his flesh,

¹⁹ We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into ^(A)the inner place behind the curtain,
