²⁷ And just as ^(A)it is appointed for man to die once, and ^(B)after that comes judgment,

¹⁰ For ^(A)we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(B)so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

⁷ and ^(A)the dust returns to the earth as it was, and ^(B)the spirit returns to God ^(C)who gave it.

¹⁴ For ^(A)God will bring every deed into judgment, with^[a] every secret thing, whether good or evil.

³¹ because he has fixed ^(A)a day on which ^(B)he will judge the world ^(C)in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and ^(D)of this he has given assurance to all ^(E)by raising him from the dead.”

^26 (A)For as the Father has life in himself, ^(B)so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. ²⁷ And he ^(C)has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for ^(D)an hour is coming when ^(E)all who are in the tombs will hear his voice ²⁹ and come out, ^(F)those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

¹⁴ We must all die; we are ^(A)like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God will not take away life, and he devises means ^(B)so that the banished one will not remain an outcast.

^15 (A)to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have ^(B)committed in such an ungodly way, and of all ^(C)the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

⁵ For the living know that they will die, but ^(A)the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for ^(B)the memory of them is forgotten.
