² who was faithful to him who appointed him, ^(A)just as Moses also was faithful in all God's^[a] house.

⁷ Not so with ^(A)my servant Moses. ^(B)He is faithful in all my house.

⁶ And Samuel said to the people, ^(A)“The Lord is witness,^[a] who appointed Moses and Aaron and brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

^5 (A)Now Moses was faithful in all God's house ^(B)as a servant, ^(C)to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, ⁶ but Christ is faithful over God's house as ^(D)a son. And ^(E)we are his house, if indeed we ^(F)hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.^[a]

¹⁷ Therefore he had ^(A)to be made like his brothers in every respect, ^(B)so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest ^(C)in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

¹⁵ if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners

¹² I thank him ^(A)who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, ^(B)appointing me to his service,

²² In him ^(A)you also are being built together ^(B)into a dwelling place for God by^[a] the Spirit.

⁴ I ^(A)glorified you on earth, ^(B)having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.
