⁹ But we see Jesus, ^(A)who was made ^[a]a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death ^(B)crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death ^(C)for everyone.

^7 (A)but ^[a]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form ^(B)of a bondservant, and ^(C)coming in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and ^(D)became ^(E)obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. ^9 (F)Therefore God also ^(G)has highly exalted Him and ^(H)given Him the name which is above every name,

⁹ And ^(A)they sang a new song, saying:

^9 (A)In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten ^(B)Son into the world, that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, ^(C)not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son ^(D)to be the propitiation for our sins.

² And ^(A)He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but ^(B)also for the whole world.

³³ Therefore ^(A)being exalted ^[a]to ^(B)the right hand of God, and ^(C)having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He ^(D)poured out this which you now see and hear.

^16 (A)For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten ^(B)Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ Therefore, as through ^[a]one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through ^(A)one^[b] Man’s righteous act the free gift came ^(B)to all men, resulting in justification of life.

The Lamb of God^(A)

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! ^(B)The Lamb of God ^(C)who takes away the sin of the world!
