^3 (A)how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, ^(B)which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was ^(C)confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

²⁸ Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three ^(A)witnesses. ^29 (B)Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, ^(C)counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, ^(D)and insulted the Spirit of grace?

Hear the Heavenly Voice

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For ^(A)if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

³ And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?

⁹ And ^(A)having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

^16 (A)and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who ^(B)sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! ¹⁷ For the great day of His wrath has come, ^(C)and who is able to stand?”

¹⁷ For the time has come ^(A)for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, ^(B)what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? ¹⁸ Now

The Word Discovers Our Condition

^11 (A)Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the ^[a]worlds;

^12 (A)Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
