¹⁸ For because he himself has suffered ^(A)when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. ^(A)God is faithful, and ^(B)he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest ^(A)who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been ^(B)tempted as we are, ^(C)yet without sin. ^16 (D)Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Doxology

^24 (A)Now to him who is able ^(B)to keep you from stumbling and ^(C)to present you ^(D)blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,

²⁵ Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost^{[a] (A)}those who draw near to God ^(B)through him, since he always lives ^(C)to make intercession for them.

²⁶ For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, ^(D)holy, innocent, unstained, ^(E)separated from sinners, and ^(F)exalted above the heavens.

^2 (A)He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself ^(B)is beset with weakness.

^10 (A)Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try ^(B)those who dwell on the earth.

⁹ then ^(A)the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials,^[a] and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

^12 (A)which is why I suffer as I do. But ^(B)I am not ashamed, for ^(C)I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until ^(D)that day ^(E)what has been entrusted to me.^[a]
