¹⁶ For indeed He does not ^[a]give aid to angels, but He does ^[b]give aid to the seed of Abraham.

²⁹ And ^(A)if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s ^(B)seed, and ^(C)heirs according to the promise.

¹⁶ Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of ^(A)one, ^(B)“And to your Seed,” who is ^(C)Christ.

¹⁶ Therefore it is of faith that it might be ^(A)according to grace, ^(B)so that the promise might be ^[a]sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, ^(C)who is the father of us all ¹⁷ (as it is written, ^(D)“I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, ^(E)who gives life to the dead and calls those ^(F)things which do not exist as though they did; ¹⁸ who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, ^(G)“So shall your descendants be.” ¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, ^(H)he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), ^(I)and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. ²⁰ He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully convinced that what He had promised ^(J)He was also able to perform. ²² And therefore ^(K)“it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

²³ Now ^(L)it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, ²⁴ but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe ^(M)in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, ^25 (N)who was delivered up because of our offenses, and ^(O)was raised because of our justification.

¹⁰ For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, ^(A)that we may be partakers of His holiness.

¹⁶ For men indeed swear by the greater, and ^(A)an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute.

Circumcision of No Avail

^25 (A)For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

^18 (A)In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, ^(B)because you have obeyed My voice.”

^20 (A)He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was ^[a]manifest ^(B)in these last times for you
