² looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, ^(A)who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising ^(B)the shame, and ^(C)is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁸ For Christ also ^(A)suffered^{[a] (B)}once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, ^(C)that he might bring us to God, being put to death ^(D)in the flesh but made alive ^(E)in the spirit,

^23 (A)When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, ^(B)but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. ^24 (C)He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we ^(D)might die to sin and ^(E)live to righteousness. ^(F)By his wounds you have been healed.

³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(A)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(B)After making purification for sins, ^(C)he sat down ^(D)at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ loved us and ^(C)gave himself up for us, a ^(D)fragrant ^(E)offering and sacrifice to God.

^13 (A)waiting for our blessed ^(B)hope, the ^(C)appearing of the glory of our great ^(D)God and Savior Jesus Christ, ^14 (E)who gave himself for us to ^(F)redeem us from all lawlessness and ^(G)to purify for himself ^(H)a people for his own possession who are ^(I)zealous for good works.

⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(A)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(B)even death on a cross. ^9 (C)Therefore ^(D)God has ^(E)highly exalted him and bestowed on him ^(F)the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus ^(G)every knee should bow, ^(H)in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and ^(I)every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is ^(J)Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once ^(A)to bear the sins of ^(B)many, will appear ^(C)a second time, ^(D)not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly ^(E)waiting for him.
