²² After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God^(A) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. ²³ Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. ²⁴ Enoch walked faithfully with God;^(B) then he was no more, because God took him away.^(C)

¹⁴ The Lord replied, “My Presence^(A) will go with you, and I will give you rest.”^(B)

¹⁵ Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence^(C) does not go with us, do not send us up from here. ¹⁶ How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?^(D) What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”^(E)

¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked,^(F) because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”^(G)

¹⁶ What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols?^(A) For we are the temple^(B) of the living God.^(C) As God has said:

³ We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard,^(A) so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.^(B)
