⁹ since you have not yet reached the resting place^(A) and the inheritance^(B) the Lord your God is giving you.

¹⁰ But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving^(A) you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest^(B) from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety.

¹⁹ When the Lord your God gives you rest^(A) from all the enemies^(B) around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek^(C) from under heaven. Do not forget!

¹³ “Remember the command that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you after he said, ‘The Lord your God will give you rest^(A) by giving you this land.’

²³ So Joshua took the entire land,^(A) just as the Lord had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance^(B) to Israel according to their tribal divisions.^(C) Then the land had rest^(D) from war.^(E)

⁴⁴ The Lord gave them rest^(A) on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies^(B) withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies^(C) into their hands.^(D)

⁴ Now that the Lord your God has given them rest^(A) as he promised, return to your homes^(B) in the land that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side of the Jordan.^(C)
