³⁰Ngayon, sinabi ni Jacob kina Simeon at Levi, “Binigyan ninyo ako ng malaking problema. Magkikimkim ng galit sa atin ang mga Cananeo at mga Perezeo sa lupaing ito. Mamamatay tayong lahat kung magkakaisa silang lusubin tayo dahil kaunti lang tayo.”

³¹Pero sumagot ang dalawa, “Pababayaan lang ba namin na tratuhin ang kapatid namin na parang isang babaeng bayaran?”

³⁰Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have brought trouble^(A) on me by making me obnoxious^(B) to the Canaanites and Perizzites, the people living in this land.^(C) We are few in number,^(D) and if they join forces against me and attack me, I and my household will be destroyed.”

³¹But they replied, “Should he have treated our sister like a prostitute?^(E)”
