8 Nang sinabi nga ni Laban na ang batik-batik na mga kambing ang siyang bayad ko, panay din batik-batik ang anak ng mga kambing. 9 Kinuha ng Dios ang mga hayop ng inyong ama at ibinigay sa akin.”
10 Sinabi pa ni Jacob, “Nang panahon ng pagkakastahan ng mga hayop, nanaginip ako. Nakita ko na ang mga lalaking kambing na kumakasta sa mga babaeng kambing ay mga batik-batik.

8 If he said, ‘The speckled ones will be your wages,’ then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, ‘The streaked ones will be your wages,’(A) then all the flocks bore streaked young. 9 So God has taken away your father’s livestock(B) and has given them to me.(C)
10 “In breeding season I once had a dream(D) in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted.
