⁴⁰ But he said to me, ‘The Lord, ^(A)before whom I have walked, will send his angel with you and ^(B)prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son from my clan and from my father's house.

^20 (A)“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.

⁷ The Lord, the God of heaven, ^(A)who took me from my father's house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ^(B)‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ ^(C)he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

²² Enoch ^(A)walked with God^[a] after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.

³ “Now, O Lord, ^(A)please remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and ^(B)with a whole heart, ^(C)and have done what is good in your sight.” ^(D)And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
