²³ Abraham came near and said, “^(A)Will You indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

¹⁸ So you will again ^(A)distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, ^(A)inherit the kingdom prepared for you ^(B)from the foundation of the world. ³⁵ For ^(C)I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; ^(D)I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; ^36 (E)naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you ^(F)visited Me; ^(G)I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ³⁹ When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ ^40 (H)The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, ^(I)to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

⁴¹ “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘^(J)Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the ^(K)eternal fire which has been prepared for ^(L)the devil and his angels;

²¹ Then He said again to them, “I go away, and ^(A)you will seek Me, and ^(B)will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.”

¹⁷ But ^(A)thanks be to God that ^[a]though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that ^(B)form of teaching to which you were committed,

¹⁸ and having been ^(A)freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

²³ For the wages of ^(A)sin is death, but the free gift of God is ^(B)eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁶ But now we have been ^(A)released from the Law, having ^(B)died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in ^(C)newness of ^(D)the ^[a]Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
