Nagkahiwalay sina Abram at Lot
13 Mula sa Egipto, si Abram ay naglakbay na pahilaga patungong Negeb, kasama ang kanyang asawa at ang pamangkin niyang si Lot, dala ang lahat niyang ari-arian. 2 Mayaman na noon si Abram; marami na siyang mga tupa, kambing at baka. Marami na rin siyang naipong ginto at pilak. 3 Mula sa Negeb, unti-unti siyang naglakbay pabalik sa dati niyang pinagkampuhan, sa pagitan ng Bethel at Ai. 4 Pumunta siya sa dating pinagtayuan niya ng altar, at doon sumamba kay Yahweh.
5 Si Lot, na kasa-kasama ni Abram ay marami na ring tupa, kambing at baka. Mayroon na rin siyang sariling pamilya at mga tauhan. 6-7 Dahil napakarami na ng kanilang mga hayop, hindi na sapat ang pastulan para sa mga kawan nina Abram at Lot. Kaya't madalas nag-aaway ang mga pastol nila. Nang panahon ding iyon, ang mga Cananeo at Perezeo ay naninirahan pa sa lugar na iyon.
8 Kinausap ni Abram si Lot, “Hindi tayo dapat mag-away, at ang mga tauhan natin, sapagkat magkamag-anak tayo. 9 Mabuti pa'y maghiwalay tayo. Mamili ka: Kung gusto mo sa kaliwa, sa kanan ako; kung gusto mo sa kanan, sa kaliwa ako.”
10 At(A) nang iginala ni Lot ang kanyang paningin, nakita niyang ang Kapatagan ng Jordan hanggang sa Zoar ay sagana sa tubig, tulad ng halamanan ni Yahweh at ng lupain ng Egipto. Nangyari ito noong hindi pa natutupok ang Sodoma at Gomorra. 11 Kaya pinili niya ang dakong silangan sa Kapatagan ng Jordan, at naghiwalay nga sila ni Abram. 12 Nanatili si Abram sa Canaan. Samantala, si Lot ay nanirahan naman sa mga lunsod sa kapatagan na malapit sa Sodoma. 13 Napakasama ng mga tao sa lunsod ng Sodoma; namumuhay sila nang laban kay Yahweh.

14 Pagkaalis ni Lot, sinabi ni Yahweh kay Abram, “Tumanaw ka sa palibot mo. 15 Ang(B) buong lupaing natatanaw mo ay ibibigay ko sa iyo, at sa magiging lahi mo magpakailanman. 16 Ang iyong mga salinlahi ay gagawin kong sindami ng alikabok sa lupa na di kayang bilangin ninuman. 17 Libutin mo na ang buong lupain; ang lahat ng iyan ay ibibigay ko sa iyo.” 18 Lumipat si Abram sa Hebron, at doon tumira sa tabi ng malalaking puno sa Mamre. Nagtayo siya roon ng altar para kay Yahweh.

13 (A)Bw’atyo Ibulaamu n’ayambuka okuva mu Misiri ye ne mukazi we, ne byonna bye yalina, ne Lutti ne bayingira mu Negevu.

2 Mu kiseera ekyo Ibulaamu yalina ente nnyingi, ne ffeeza ne zaabu nnyingi nnyo. 3 (B)N’atambula okuva e Negevu n’atuuka e Beseri, mu kifo eweema ye we yali olubereberye, wakati wa Beseri ne Ayi, 4 (C)mu kifo we yasooka okuzimbira Mukama ekyoto, Ibulaamu n’akoowoolera eyo erinnya lya Mukama.
5 Ne Lutti eyagenda ne Ibulaamu naye yalina ebisibo by’endiga n’amagana g’ente n’ab’enju ye nga bangi, 6 (D)ekitundu mwe baali nga tekibamala bombi. Obugagga bwabwe bwali bungi nnyo, 7 (E)ate nga n’abasumba baabwe bayombagana. Mu kiseera ekyo Abakanani n’Abaperezi nabo baabanga mu nsi omwo.
8 (F)Awo Ibulaamu n’agamba Lutti nti, “Tewasaana kubaawo kuyombagana wakati wange naawe, wadde wakati w’abalunzi bo n’abange, kubanga tuli baaluganda. 9 Ensi yonna teri mu maaso go? Leka twawukane. Bwonoolonda oluuyi olwa kkono, nze n’alaga ku luuyi olwa ddyo, bw’onoolaga ku luuyi olwa ddyo nze n’alaga ku luuyi olwa kkono.”
10 (G)Lutti n’ayimusa amaaso ge, n’alaba ekiwonvu kya Yoludaani nga kirungi, nga kirimu amazzi buli wantu nga kifaanana ng’ennimiro ya Mukama; nga kiri ng’ensi ya Misiri ku luuyi olwa Zowaali. Kino kyaliwo nga Mukama tannazikkiriza Sodomu ne Ggomola. 11 Bw’atyo Lutti ne yeeronderawo olusenyi lwa Yoludaani n’agenda ku luuyi olw’ebuvanjuba; bwe batyo ne baawukana. 12 (H)Ibulaamu n’abeera mu nsi ya Kanani, ye Lutti n’abeera mu bibuga eby’omu lusenyi n’atwala eweema ye n’agisimba okumpi ne Sodomu. 13 (I)Abasajja aba Sodomu baali babi era nga boonoonyi nnyo eri Mukama.
14 (J)Mukama n’agamba Ibulaamu ng’amaze okwawukana ne Lutti nti, “Yimusa amaaso go ng’osinziira mu kifo mw’oli, otunule ku bukiikakkono, ne ku bukiikaddyo, n’ebuvanjuba n’ebugwanjuba; 15 (K)kubanga ensi gy’olaba ndigikuwa ggwe n’ezzadde lyo emirembe gyonna. 16 Ndyaza ezzadde lyo ng’enfuufu ey’oku nsi; omuntu bw’alisobola okubala enfuufu ey’oku nsi, n’ezzadde lyo aliribala. 17 (L)Situka, tambula obuwanvu n’obukiika obw’ensi kubanga ngikuwadde.”
18 (M)Awo Ibulaamu n’asimbula eweema ye n’agenda n’abeera okumpi n’emivule gya Mamule, ekiri e Kebbulooni, n’azimbira eyo Mukama ekyoto.

Abram and Lot Separate
13 So Abram went up from Egypt(A) to the Negev,(B) with his wife and everything he had, and Lot(C) went with him. 2 Abram had become very wealthy(D) in livestock(E) and in silver and gold.
3 From the Negev(F) he went from place to place until he came to Bethel,(G) to the place between Bethel and Ai(H) where his tent had been earlier 4 and where he had first built an altar.(I) There Abram called on the name of the Lord.(J)
5 Now Lot,(K) who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. 6 But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that they were not able to stay together.(L) 7 And quarreling(M) arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. The Canaanites(N) and Perizzites(O) were also living in the land(P) at that time.
8 So Abram said to Lot,(Q) “Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me,(R) or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives.(S) 9 Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”(T)
10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain(U) of the Jordan toward Zoar(V) was well watered, like the garden of the Lord,(W) like the land of Egypt.(X) (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom(Y) and Gomorrah.)(Z) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east. The two men parted company: 12 Abram lived in the land of Canaan,(AA) while Lot(AB) lived among the cities of the plain(AC) and pitched his tents near Sodom.(AD) 13 Now the people of Sodom(AE) were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.(AF)
14 The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west.(AG) 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring[a] forever.(AH) 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.(AI) 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land,(AJ) for I am giving it to you.”(AK)
18 So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre(AL) at Hebron,(AM) where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the Lord.(AN)
