Six Days of Creation and the Sabbath
1 In the beginning when God created[a] the heavens and the earth, 2 the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God[b] swept over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
6 And God said, “Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so. 8 God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
9 And God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, “Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed in it.” And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

Dio vide che questo era buono. 11 Poi Dio disse: «Produca la terra della vegetazione, delle erbe che facciano seme e degli alberi fruttiferi che, secondo la loro specie, portino del frutto avente in sé la propria semenza, sulla terra». 8 Und Gott nannte die Ausdehnung Himmel. Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der zweite Tag.
Der dritte Tag
9 Und Gott sprach: Es sammle sich das Wasser unter dem Himmel an einen Ort, damit man das Trockene sehe! Und es geschah so.
10 Und Gott nannte das Trockene Erde; aber die Sammlung der Wasser nannte er Meer. Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.
11 Und Gott sprach: Die Erde lasse Gras sprießen und Gewächs, das Samen hervorbringt, fruchttragende Bäume auf der Erde, von denen jeder seine Früchte bringt nach seiner Art, in denen ihr Same ist! Und es geschah so.
12 Und die Erde brachte Gras und Gewächs hervor, das Samen trägt nach seiner Art, und Bäume, die Früchte bringen, in denen ihr Same ist nach ihrer Art. Und Gott sah, dass es gut war.
13 Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der dritte Tag.

3 Akkor ezt mondta Isten: Legyen világosság! És lett világosság.
4 Látta Isten, hogy a világosság jó, elválasztotta tehát Isten a világosságot a sötétségtől.
5 És elnevezte Isten a világosságot nappalnak, a sötétséget pedig éjszakának nevezte. Így lett este, és lett reggel: első nap.
6 Azután ezt mondta Isten: Legyen boltozat a vizek között, hogy elválassza egymástól a vizeket.
7 Megalkotta tehát Isten a boltozatot, és elválasztotta a boltozat alatt levő vizeket a boltozat felett levő vizektől. És úgy történt.
8 Azután elnevezte Isten a boltozatot égnek. Így lett este, és lett reggel: második nap.

3 Et Dieu dit alors : Que la lumière soit !
Et la lumière fut[a]. 4 Dieu vit que la lumière était bonne, et il sépara la lumière des ténèbres. 5 Il appela la lumière : « jour » et les ténèbres : « nuit ».
Il y eut un soir, il y eut un matin. Ce fut le premier jour.
6 Puis Dieu dit : Qu’il y ait une étendue entre les eaux pour les séparer.
7 Dieu fit l’étendue. Il sépara les eaux qui étaient sous l’étendue des eaux qui étaient au-dessus. Et ce fut ainsi.
8 Dieu appela cette étendue : « ciel ». Il y eut un soir, il y eut un matin : ce fut le deuxième jour.
9 Puis Dieu dit : Que les eaux d’au-dessous du ciel se rassemblent en un seul endroit pour que la terre ferme paraisse.
Et ce fut ainsi.
10 Dieu appela « terre » la terre ferme, et « mer » l’amas des eaux. Dieu vit que c’était bon.
11 Puis Dieu dit : Que la terre se couvre de verdure, de l’herbe portant sa semence, et de chaque espèce d’arbre produisant du fruit, portant chacun sa semence, partout sur la terre.
Et ce fut ainsi.
12 La terre fit germer de la verdure, chaque espèce d’herbe portant sa semence et chaque espèce d’arbre produisant du fruit, portant chacun sa semence. Dieu vit que c’était bon.
