⁴ “I am ^(A)a sojourner and a foreign resident among you; ^(B)give me a ^(C)possession for a burial site among you that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”

⁹ So Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The days ^(A)of the years of my sojourning are ^[a]130; few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not ^[b]attained to ^(B)the days of the years ^[c]that my fathers lived during the days of their sojourning.”

¹⁵ For ^(A)we are sojourners before You, and foreign residents, like all our fathers were; ^(B)our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.

¹⁹ So then you are no longer ^(A)strangers and sojourners, but you are ^(B)fellow citizens with the ^[a]saints, and are of ^(C)God’s household,

^11 (A)Beloved, ^(B)I urge you as ^(C)sojourners and exiles to abstain from ^(D)fleshly lusts which wage ^(E)war against the soul,
