³ and he said, “^[a]My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, please do not ^[b]pass Your servant by. ⁴ Please let a little water be brought and ^(A)wash your feet, and ^[c]rest yourselves under the tree; ⁵ and let me ^[d](B)bring a piece of bread, that you may ^[e]refresh your hearts; after that you may pass on, since in such a manner you have passed by your servant.” And they said, “So you shall do, as you have said.”

² And he said, “Now behold, my lords, please turn aside into your servant’s house, and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” They said however, “No, but we shall spend the night in the square.” ³ Yet he pressed them strongly, so they turned aside to him and entered his house; ^(A)and he made a feast for them and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
