¹²And Sarah laughed ^[a]to herself, saying, “^(A)After I am worn out, shall I have pleasure, my ^(B)lord being old also?”

Genesis 18:12

New International Version

¹²So Sarah laughed^(A) to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my lord^(B) is old, will I now have this pleasure?”

⁶just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, ^(A)calling him lord. You have become her children if you do good, ^[a]^(B)not fearing any intimidation.

⁶like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord.^(A) You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
