¹³ Then she called the name of Yahweh who spoke to her, “^[a]You are ^[b]a God who sees”; for she said, “^(A)Have I even ^[c]remained alive here after seeing Him?”

¹⁰ and ^(A)they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet ^[a](B)there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, ^[b]as clear as the sky itself. ¹¹ Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Israel; and ^(C)they beheld God, and they ate and drank.

²⁰ But He said, “You cannot see My face, ^(A)for no man can see Me and live!”

^22 (A)And Gideon saw that he was the angel of Yahweh, so ^[a]he said, “Alas, O Lord Yahweh! For now I have seen the angel of Yahweh face to face.”
