⁷ Then Yahweh ^(A)appeared to Abram and said, “^(B)To your seed I will give this land.” So he built ^(C)an altar there to Yahweh who had appeared to him.

⁴ And I also established ^(A)My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the ^[a]land in which they sojourned. ⁵ Furthermore I have ^(B)heard the groaning of the sons of Israel because the Egyptians are holding them in slavery, and I have remembered My covenant. ⁶ Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘^(C)I am Yahweh, and ^(D)I will bring you out from under the hard labors of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their slavery. I will also ^(E)redeem you with ^(F)an outstretched arm and with great judgments. ⁷ Then I will take you ^[b](G)for My people, and ^(H)I will be ^[c]your God; and ^(I)you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from under the hard labors of the Egyptians. ⁸ And I will bring you to the land which ^(J)I ^[d]swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and ^(K)I will give it to you for a possession; ^(L)I am Yahweh.’”
