⁶ Then God said, “Let there be ^[a]an ^(A)expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”

⁹ Then God said, “^(A)Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let ^(B)the dry land appear”; and it was so.

¹⁴ Then God said, “Let there be ^[a](A)lights in the ^[b](B)expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall ^[c]serve as ^(C)signs and for ^(D)seasons, and for days and years;

²⁰ Then God said, “Let the waters ^[a]teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth ^[b]in the open ^[c]expanse of the heavens.”
