La creazione
1 (B)Nel principio Dio creò i cieli e la terra.
2 (C)La terra era informe e vuota, le tenebre coprivano la faccia dell'abisso e lo Spirito di Dio aleggiava sulla superficie delle acque.
3 Dio disse: «Sia luce!» E luce fu. 4 Dio vide che la luce era buona; e Dio separò la luce dalle tenebre. 5 Dio chiamò la luce «giorno» e le tenebre «notte». Fu sera, poi fu mattina: primo giorno.
6 (D)Poi Dio disse: «Vi sia una distesa[a] tra le acque, che separi le acque dalle acque». 7 Dio fece la distesa e separò le acque che erano sotto la distesa dalle acque che erano sopra la distesa. E cosí fu. 8 Dio chiamò la distesa «cielo». Fu sera, poi fu mattina: secondo giorno.
9 (E)Poi Dio disse: «Le acque che sono sotto il cielo siano raccolte in un unico luogo e appaia l'asciutto». E cosí fu. 10 Dio chiamò l'asciutto «terra», e chiamò la raccolta delle acque «mari». Dio vide che questo era buono. 11 Poi Dio disse: «Produca la terra della vegetazione, delle erbe che facciano seme e degli alberi fruttiferi che, secondo la loro specie, portino del frutto avente in sé la propria semenza, sulla terra». E cosí fu. 12 La terra produsse della vegetazione, delle erbe che facevano seme secondo la loro specie e degli alberi che portavano del frutto avente in sé la propria semenza, secondo la loro specie. Dio vide che questo era buono. 13 Fu sera, poi fu mattina: terzo giorno.
14 (F)Poi Dio disse: «Vi siano delle luci nella distesa dei cieli per separare il giorno dalla notte; siano dei segni per le stagioni, per i giorni e per gli anni; 15 facciano luce nella distesa dei cieli per illuminare la terra». E cosí fu. 16 Dio fece le due grandi luci: la luce maggiore per presiedere al giorno e la luce minore per presiedere alla notte; e fece pure le stelle. 17 Dio le mise nella distesa dei cieli per illuminare la terra, 18 per presiedere al giorno e alla notte e separare la luce dalle tenebre. Dio vide che questo era buono. 19 Fu sera, poi fu mattina: quarto giorno.
20 (G)Poi Dio disse: «Producano le acque in abbondanza esseri viventi, e volino degli uccelli sopra la terra per l'ampia distesa del cielo». 21 Dio creò i grandi animali acquatici e tutti gli esseri viventi che si muovono, e che le acque produssero in abbondanza secondo la loro specie, e ogni volatile secondo la sua specie. Dio vide che questo era buono. 22 Dio li benedisse dicendo: «Crescete, moltiplicatevi e riempite le acque dei mari, e si moltiplichino gli uccelli sulla terra». 23 Fu sera, poi fu mattina: quinto giorno.
24 (H)Poi Dio disse: «Produca la terra animali viventi secondo la loro specie: bestiame, rettili e animali selvatici della terra, secondo la loro specie». E cosí fu. 25 Dio fece gli animali selvatici della terra secondo le loro specie, il bestiame secondo le sue specie e tutti i rettili della terra secondo le loro specie. Dio vide che questo era buono.
Creazione dell'uomo e della donna
26 (I)Poi Dio disse: «Facciamo l'uomo a nostra immagine, conforme alla nostra somiglianza, e abbiano dominio sui pesci del mare, sugli uccelli del cielo, sul bestiame, su tutta la terra e su tutti i rettili che strisciano sulla terra». 27 Dio creò l'uomo a sua immagine; lo creò a immagine di Dio; li creò maschio e femmina. 28 Dio li benedisse; e Dio disse loro: «Siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi; riempite la terra, rendetevela soggetta, dominate sui pesci del mare e sugli uccelli del cielo e sopra ogni animale che si muove sulla terra». 29 Dio disse: «Ecco, io vi do ogni erba che fa seme sulla superficie di tutta la terra, e ogni albero fruttifero che fa seme; questo vi servirà di nutrimento. 30 A ogni animale della terra, a ogni uccello del cielo e a tutto ciò che si muove sulla terra e ha in sé un soffio di vita, io do ogni erba verde per nutrimento». E cosí fu. 31 Dio vide tutto quello che aveva fatto, ed ecco, era molto buono. Fu sera, poi fu mattina: sesto giorno.

1 En el principio(A) Dios creó(B) los cielos y la tierra(C). 2 La tierra estaba sin orden y vacía(D), y las tinieblas(E) cubrían la superficie[a] del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios(F) se movía(G) sobre la superficie[b] de las aguas. 3 Entonces dijo Dios: «Sea la luz(H)». Y hubo luz. 4 Dios vio que la luz era buena(I); y Dios separó la luz de las tinieblas(J). 5 Y Dios llamó a la luz día y a las tinieblas llamó noche(K). Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana(L): un día.
6 Entonces dijo Dios: «Haya expansión[c](M) en medio de las aguas, y separe las aguas de las aguas». 7 Dios hizo la expansión[d], y separó las aguas que estaban debajo de la expansión(N) de las aguas que estaban sobre la expansión(O). Y así fue. 8 Y Dios llamó a la expansión cielos. Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana: el segundo día.
9 Entonces dijo Dios: «Júntense en un lugar las aguas que están debajo de los cielos(P), y que aparezca lo seco(Q)». Y así fue. 10 Dios llamó a lo seco «tierra», y al conjunto de las aguas llamó «mares(R)». Y Dios vio que era bueno. 11 Entonces dijo Dios: «Produzca la tierra vegetación[e](S): hierbas[f] que den semilla, y árboles frutales que den su fruto con su semilla sobre la tierra según su especie». Y así fue. 12 Y produjo la tierra vegetación[g]: hierbas[h] que dan semilla según su especie, y árboles que dan su fruto con semilla, según su especie. Y Dios vio que era bueno. 13 Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana: el tercer día.
14 Entonces dijo Dios: «Haya lumbreras[i](T) en la expansión(U) de los cielos para separar el día de la noche, y sean para señales(V) y para estaciones(W) y para días y para años; 15 y sean por luminarias en la expansión de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra». Y así fue. 16 Dios hizo las dos grandes lumbreras[j], la lumbrera[k] mayor para dominio del día y la lumbrera[l] menor para dominio de la noche(X). Hizo también las estrellas(Y). 17 Dios las puso en la expansión de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra(Z), 18 y para dominar el día y la noche, y para separar la luz de las tinieblas(AA). Y Dios vio que era bueno. 19 Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana: el cuarto día.
20 Entonces dijo Dios: «Llénense[m] las aguas de multitudes de seres vivientes, y vuelen las aves sobre la tierra en la abierta[n] expansión de los cielos». 21 Y Dios creó los grandes monstruos marinos y todo ser viviente que se mueve, de los cuales, según su especie, están llenas[o] las aguas(AB), y toda ave[p] según su especie. Y Dios vio que era bueno. 22 Dios los bendijo, diciendo: «Sean fecundos y multiplíquense, y llenen las aguas en los mares, y multiplíquense las aves en la tierra». 23 Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana: el quinto día.
24 Entonces dijo Dios: «Produzca la tierra seres vivientes(AC) según su especie: ganados, reptiles y animales de la tierra según su especie». Y así fue. 25 Dios hizo las bestias de la tierra según su especie, y el ganado según su especie, y todo lo que se arrastra sobre la tierra según su especie(AD). Y Dios vio que era bueno.
Creación del hombre y de la mujer
26 Y dijo Dios: «Hagamos(AE) al hombre a Nuestra imagen, conforme a Nuestra semejanza(AF); y ejerza[q] dominio sobre los peces del mar, sobre las aves del cielo, sobre los ganados, sobre toda la tierra, y sobre todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra(AG)». 27 Dios creó al hombre a imagen Suya, a imagen de Dios lo creó(AH); varón y hembra los creó(AI). 28 Dios los bendijo y les dijo: «Sean fecundos y multiplíquense. Llenen la tierra(AJ) y sométanla. Ejerzan dominio sobre los peces del mar, sobre las aves del cielo y sobre todo ser viviente que se mueve[r] sobre la tierra».
29 También les dijo Dios: «Miren, Yo les he dado a ustedes toda planta que da semilla que hay en la superficie[s] de toda la tierra, y todo árbol que tiene fruto[t] que da semilla; esto les servirá de[u] alimento(AK). 30 Y a todo animal de la tierra, a toda ave de los cielos y a todo lo que se mueve[v] sobre la tierra, y que tiene vida[w], les he dado toda planta verde para alimento(AL)». Y así fue. 31 Dios vio todo lo que había hecho; y era bueno en gran manera(AM). Y fue la tarde y fue la mañana: el sexto día.

1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra. 2 Y la tierra estaba desordenada y vacía, y las tinieblas estaban sobre la faz del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas.
3 Y dijo Dios: Sea la luz;(A) y fue la luz. 4 Y vio Dios que la luz era buena; y separó Dios la luz de las tinieblas. 5 Y llamó Dios a la luz Día, y a las tinieblas llamó Noche. Y fue la tarde y la mañana un día.
6 Luego dijo Dios: Haya expansión en medio de las aguas, y separe las aguas de las aguas. 7 E hizo Dios la expansión, y separó las aguas que estaban debajo de la expansión, de las aguas que estaban sobre la expansión. Y fue así. 12 Produjo, pues, la tierra hierba verde, hierba que da semilla según su naturaleza, y árbol que da fruto, cuya semilla está en él, según su género. Y vio Dios que era bueno. 13 Y fue la tarde y la mañana el día tercero.
14 Dijo luego Dios: Haya lumbreras en la expansión de los cielos para separar el día de la noche; y sirvan de señales para las estaciones, para días y años, 15 y sean por lumbreras en la expansión de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra. Y fue así. 16 E hizo Dios las dos grandes lumbreras; la lumbrera mayor para que señorease en el día, y la lumbrera menor para que señorease en la noche; hizo también las estrellas. 17 Y las puso Dios en la expansión de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra, 18 y para señorear en el día y en la noche, y para separar la luz de las tinieblas. Y vio Dios que era bueno. 19 Y fue la tarde y la mañana el día cuarto. 20 Dijo Dios: Produzcan las aguas seres vivientes, y aves que vuelen sobre la tierra, en la abierta expansión de los cielos. 21 Y creó Dios los grandes monstruos marinos, y todo ser viviente que se mueve, que las aguas produjeron según su género, y toda ave alada según su especie. 3 And God said,(J) “Let there be light,” and there was light.(K) 4 God saw that the light was good,(L) and he separated the light from the darkness.(M) 5 God called(N) the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”(O) And there was evening, and there was morning(P)—the first day.
6 And God said,(Q) “Let there be a vault(R) between the waters(S) to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.(T) And it was so.(U) 8 God called(V) the vault “sky.”(W) And there was evening, and there was morning(X)—the second day.

28 God blessed them and said to them,(CA) “Be fruitful and increase in number;(CB) fill the earth(CC) and subdue it. Rule over(CD) the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.(CE)”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.(CF) 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life(CG) in it—I give every green plant for food.(CH)” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made,(CI) and it was very good.(CJ) And there was evening, and there was morning(CK)—the sixth day.
