Jacob's Family Settles in Goshen

47 So Joseph ^(A)went in and told Pharaoh, “My father and my brothers, with their flocks and herds and all that they possess, have come from the land of Canaan. They are now in ^(B)the land of Goshen.”

³¹ Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, ^(A)“I will go up and tell Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

^10 (A)You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.

Jacob and Joseph Reunited

²⁸ He had sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to show the way before him in Goshen, and they came ^(A)into the land of Goshen.

¹¹ For ^(A)he who sanctifies and ^(B)those who are sanctified ^(C)all have one source.^[a] That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^(D)brothers,^[b]

^26 (A)Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail.

²² But on that day ^(A)I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there, ^(B)that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.^[a]

³⁴ you shall say, ^(A)‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock ^(B)from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ in order that you may dwell ^(C)in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is ^(D)an abomination to the Egyptians.”

¹⁶ When the report was heard in Pharaoh's house, “Joseph's brothers have come,” it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.
