^10 (A)You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.

^26 (A)Only in the land of Goshen, where the people of Israel were, was there no hail.

²² But on that day ^(A)I will set apart the land of Goshen, where my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be there, ^(B)that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.^[a]

³⁴ you shall say, ^(A)‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock ^(B)from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ in order that you may dwell ^(C)in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is ^(D)an abomination to the Egyptians.”

Jacob's Family Settles in Goshen

47 So Joseph ^(E)went in and told Pharaoh, “My father and my brothers, with their flocks and herds and all that they possess, have come from the land of Canaan. They are now in ^(F)the land of Goshen.” ² And from among his brothers he took five men and ^(G)presented them to Pharaoh. ³ Pharaoh said to his brothers, ^(H)“What is your occupation?” And they said to Pharaoh, ^(I)“Your servants are shepherds, as our fathers were.” ⁴ They said to Pharaoh, ^(J)“We have come to sojourn in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants' flocks, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. And now, please let your servants dwell ^(K)in the land of Goshen.” ⁵ Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Your father and your brothers have come to you. ⁶ The land of Egypt is before you. Settle your father and your brothers ^(L)in the best of the land. ^(M)Let them settle in the land of Goshen, and if you know any ^(N)able men among them, put them in charge of my livestock.”

²⁴ Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be ^(A)with me ^(B)where I am, ^(C)to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me ^(D)before the foundation of the world.
