Do not ye err, God is not scorned; for those things that a man soweth, those things he shall reap [for why what things a man soweth, also these things he shall reap].

For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh he shall reap corruption; but he that soweth in the Spirit, of the Spirit he shall reap everlasting life.

And doing good fail we not [Forsooth we doing good, fail not]; for in his time we shall reap, not failing.

10 Therefore while we have time, work we good to all men; but most to them that be the home of the faith [but most to the household members of the faith].

Be not deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he will reap. He who sows to his flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap life everlasting. Let us not be weary of well-doing. For when the time comes, we will reap without weariness. 10 Therefore, while we have time, let us do good to all men, and especially to them who are of the household of faith.

  1. Galatians 6:7 He commendeth liberality towards the poor, and first of all chideth them which were not ashamed to pretend this and that, and all because they would not help their neighbors, as though they could deceive God: and afterward compareth alms to a spiritual sowing, which shall have a most plentiful harvest, so that it shall be very profitable: and compareth covetous niggardliness to a carnal sowing, whereof nothing can be gathered but such things as fade away, and perish by and by.
  2. Galatians 6:8 To the commodities of this present life.
  3. Galatians 6:9 Against such as are liberal at the beginning, but continue not, because the harvest seemeth to be deferred very long, as though the seed time and the harvest were at one instant.
  4. Galatians 6:10 They that are of the household of faith, that is, such as are joined with us in the profession of one selfsame religion, ought to be preferred before all others, yet so notwithstanding that our liberality extends to all.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
