²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives ^(B)in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and ^(D)gave himself for me.

²⁴ And those who belong to Christ Jesus ^(A)have crucified the flesh with its ^(B)passions and desires.

¹⁵ and he died for all, ^(A)that those who live might no longer live for themselves but ^(B)for him who for their sake died and was raised.

⁴ We were ^(A)buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as ^(B)Christ was raised from the dead by ^(C)the glory of the Father, we too might walk in ^(D)newness of life.

⁵ For ^(E)if we have been united with him in ^(F)a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. ⁶ We know that ^(G)our old self^{[a] (H)}was crucified with him in order that ^(I)the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

³ For ^(A)you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ ^(B)who is your^[a] life ^(C)appears, then you also will appear with him ^(D)in glory.

^10 (A)always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, ^(B)so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. ¹¹ For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

⁸ Now ^(A)if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

¹⁴ But far be it from me to boast ^(A)except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which^[a] the world ^(B)has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

⁵ Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. ^(A)Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that ^(B)Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
