¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ,^(A)

⁴ In the same way, my brothers and sisters, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God.^(A)

¹¹ So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.^(A)

² By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?^(A)

¹⁰ who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with him.^(A)

¹⁵ And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for the one who for their sake died and was raised.

¹⁹ Now we know that, whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.^{(A) 20} For no human will be justified before him by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.^(B)

²⁴ He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross,^[a] so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds^[b] you have been healed.^(A)

⁷ For we do not live to ourselves, and we do not die to ourselves.^{(A) 8} If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

¹⁴ For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.^(A)
