¹³ And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.

^33 (A)Do not be deceived: ^(B)“Bad company ruins good morals.”^[a]

¹⁴ so that we may no longer be children, ^(A)tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in ^(B)deceitful schemes.

⁹ Do not be ^(A)led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, ^(B)not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them.

⁹ But take care ^(A)that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block ^(B)to the weak.

^6 (A)Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that ^(B)a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

³⁶ Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means ^(A)son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,

¹¹ When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance, ¹² and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they ^(A)will kill me, but they will let you live. ¹³ Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”
