Genesis 1:11-31
New International Version
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation:(A) seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.(B)” And it was so.(C) 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds(D) and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.(E) 13 And there was evening, and there was morning(F)—the third day.
14 And God said, “Let there be lights(G) in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night,(H) and let them serve as signs(I) to mark sacred times,(J) and days and years,(K) 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.(L) 16 God made two great lights—the greater light(M) to govern(N) the day and the lesser light to govern(O) the night.(P) He also made the stars.(Q) 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night,(R) and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.(S) 19 And there was evening, and there was morning(T)—the fourth day.
20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures,(U) and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”(V) 21 So God created(W) the great creatures of the sea(X) and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it,(Y) according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.(Z) And God saw that it was good.(AA) 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”(AB) 23 And there was evening, and there was morning(AC)—the fifth day.
24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures(AD) according to their kinds:(AE) the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.(AF) 25 God made the wild animals(AG) according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.(AH) And God saw that it was good.(AI)
26 Then God said, “Let us(AJ) make mankind(AK) in our image,(AL) in our likeness,(AM) so that they may rule(AN) over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky,(AO) over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created(AP) mankind(AQ) in his own image,(AR)
in the image of God(AS) he created them;
male and female(AT) he created them.(AU)
28 God blessed them and said to them,(AV) “Be fruitful and increase in number;(AW) fill the earth(AX) and subdue it. Rule over(AY) the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.(AZ)”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.(BA) 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life(BB) in it—I give every green plant for food.(BC)” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made,(BD) and it was very good.(BE) And there was evening, and there was morning(BF)—the sixth day.

Genesis 2:15-22
New International Version
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden(A) to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;(B) 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,(C) for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”(D)
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”(E)
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals(F) and all the birds in the sky.(G) He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called(H) each living creature,(I) that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam[a] no suitable helper(J) was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep;(K) and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[c](L) he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.(A) 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God(B) to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it,(C) in hope 21 that[a] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay(D) and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.(E)
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning(F) as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,(G) groan(H) inwardly as we wait eagerly(I) for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.(J) 24 For in this hope we were saved.(K) But hope that is seen is no hope at all.(L) Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.(M)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit(N) himself intercedes for us(O) through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts(P) knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes(Q) for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good(R) of those who love him, who[b] have been called(S) according to his purpose.(T) 29 For those God foreknew(U) he also predestined(V) to be conformed to the image of his Son,(W) that he might be the firstborn(X) among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined,(Y) he also called;(Z) those he called, he also justified;(AA) those he justified, he also glorified.(AB)

A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a](A) for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,(B) and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City,(C) the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,(D) prepared as a bride(E) beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.(F) They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.(G) 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.(H) There will be no more death’[b](I) or mourning or crying or pain,(J) for the old order of things has passed away.”(K)
5 He who was seated on the throne(L) said, “I am making everything new!”(M) Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”(N)
6 He said to me: “It is done.(O) I am the Alpha and the Omega,(P) the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost(Q) from the spring of the water of life.(R) 7 Those who are victorious(S) will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.(T)
