44 Mandó José al mayordomo de su casa, diciendo: Llena de alimento los costales de estos varones, cuanto puedan llevar, y pon el dinero de cada uno en la boca de su costal. Y pondrás mi copa, la copa de plata, en la boca del costal del menor, con el dinero de su trigo. Y él hizo como dijo José. Venida la mañana, los hombres fueron despedidos con sus asnos.

44 Más tarde, José ordenó al mayordomo de su casa: «Llena con todo el alimento que les quepa los costales de estos hombres y pon en sus bolsas el dinero de cada uno de ellos. Luego mete mi copa de plata en la bolsa del hermano menor, junto con el dinero que pagó por el alimento». Y el mayordomo hizo todo lo que José ordenó.

A la mañana siguiente, muy temprano, los hermanos de José fueron enviados de vuelta, junto con sus asnos.

Joseph Tests His Brothers

44 Then he commanded (A)the steward of his house, (B)“Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's money in the mouth of his sack, and put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, with his money for the grain.” And he did as Joseph told him.

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away with their donkeys.

A Silver Cup in a Sack

44 Now Joseph gave these instructions to the steward of his house:(A) “Fill the men’s sacks with as much food as they can carry, and put each man’s silver in the mouth of his sack.(B) Then put my cup,(C) the silver one,(D) in the mouth of the youngest one’s sack, along with the silver for his grain.” And he did as Joseph said.

As morning dawned, the men were sent on their way with their donkeys.(E)
