1 Pavel, întemniţat(A) al lui Isus Hristos, şi fratele Timotei către preaiubitul Filimon, tovarăşul(B) nostru de lucru, 2 către sora Apfia şi către Arhip(C), tovarăşul nostru(D) de luptă, şi către Biserica(E) din casa ta: 3 Har(F) şi pace de la Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, şi de la Domnul Isus Hristos! 4 Mulţumesc(G) totdeauna Dumnezeului meu ori de câte ori îmi aduc aminte de tine în rugăciunile mele, 5 pentru că am auzit(H) despre credinţa pe care o ai în Domnul Isus şi dragostea faţă de toţi sfinţii. 6 Îl rog ca această părtăşie a ta la credinţă să se arate prin fapte, care să dea la iveală(I) tot binele ce se face între noi în Hristos. 7 În adevăr, am avut o mare bucurie şi mângâiere pentru dragostea ta, fiindcă, frate, inimile sfinţilor au fost înviorate(J) prin tine. 8 De aceea, măcar că(K) am toată slobozenia în Hristos să-ţi poruncesc ce trebuie să faci, 9 vreau mai degrabă să-ţi fac o rugăminte în numele dragostei, eu, aşa cum sunt, bătrânul Pavel, iar(L) acum întemniţat pentru Hristos Isus. 10 Te rog pentru copilul meu pe care l-am născut(M) în lanţurile mele, pentru Onisim[a](N), 11 care altă dată ţi-a fost nefolositor, dar care acum ne va fi folositor şi ţie, şi mie. 12 Ţi-l trimit înapoi pe el, inima mea. 13 Aş fi dorit să-l ţin la mine, ca(O) să-mi slujească în locul tău cât sunt în lanţuri pentru Evanghelie. 14 Dar n-am vrut să fac nimic fără învoirea ta, pentru ca(P) binele pe care mi-l faci să nu fie silit, ci de bunăvoie. 15 Poate(Q) că el a fost despărţit de tine pentru o vreme tocmai ca să-l ai pentru veşnicie, 16 dar nu ca pe un rob, ci mult mai presus decât pe un rob: ca pe un frate(R) preaiubit mai ales de mine şi(S) cu atât mai mult de tine, fie în chip firesc, fie în Domnul! 17 Dacă mă socoteşti dar ca prieten(T) al tău, primeşte-l ca pe mine însumi. 18 Şi dacă ţi-a adus vreo vătămare sau îţi este dator cu ceva, pune aceasta în socoteala mea. 19 Eu, Pavel, „voi plăti” – scriu cu mâna mea – ca să nu-ţi zic că tu însuţi te datorezi mie. 20 Da, frate, fă-mi binele acesta în Domnul şi înviorează-mi(U) inima în Hristos! 21 Ţi-am scris bizuit(V) pe ascultarea ta şi ştiu că vei face chiar mai mult decât îţi zic. 22 Totodată, pregăteşte-mi un loc de găzduire, căci trag nădejde(W) să vă fiu dăruit datorită(X) rugăciunilor voastre. 23 Epafra(Y), tovarăşul meu de temniţă în Hristos Isus, îţi trimite sănătate; 24 tot aşa şi Marcu(Z), Aristarh(AA), Dima(AB), Luca(AC), tovarăşii mei de lucru. 25 Harul(AD) Domnului nostru Isus Hristos să fie cu duhul vostru! Amin.

1 Mula kay Pablo, bilanggo dahil kay Cristo Jesus, at mula kay Timoteo na ating kapatid,
Para kay Filemon na minamahal naming kaibigan at kamanggagawa, 2 at (A) kay Apia na kapatid nating babae, at kay Arquipo na ating kapwa kawal, at sa iglesyang nagtitipon sa iyong bahay: 3 Sumaiyo nawa ang biyaya at kapayapaang mula sa Diyos na ating Ama at sa Panginoong Jesu-Cristo.
Ang Pag-ibig at Pananampalataya ni Filemon
4 Lagi akong nagpapasalamat sa aking Diyos tuwing isinasama kita sa aking mga dalangin, 5 sapagkat nababalitaan ko ang pag-ibig na ipinapakita mo sa lahat ng mga banal at ang iyong pananampalataya sa Panginoong Jesus. 6 Idinadalangin kong ang pamamahagi mo ng iyong pananampalataya ay maging mabisa upang lubos mong maunawaan ang mga kabutihang dulot ng ating pakikipag-isa kay Cristo. 7 Kapatid, nagdulot sa akin ng malaking kagalakan at aliw ang iyong pag-ibig, sapagkat dahil sa iyo'y nabuhayan ng loob ang mga banal.
Nakiusap si Pablo para kay Onesimo
8 Kaya naman, bagama't dahil kay Cristo ay maaari kitang utusan ng dapat mong gawin, 9 mas minabuti kong makiusap sa iyo dahil sa pag-ibig. Akong si Pablo, ngayo'y matanda na at nakabilanggo pa dahil kay Cristo Jesus, 10 ay (B) nakikiusap sa iyo para sa aking anak na si Onesimo na naging anak ko nang ako'y nasa bilangguan. 11 Noon ay hindi ka nakinabang sa kanya, ngunit ngayo'y malaking tulong siya sa iyo at sa akin. 12 Pinababalik ko siya sa iyo, kasama ang aking sariling kalooban. 13 Ibig ko sanang manatili siya dito sa piling ko upang maglingkod sa akin bilang iyong kapalit habang ako'y nakabilanggo dahil sa ebanghelyo. 14 Ngunit ayaw kong gumawa ng anuman na wala kang pahintulot, upang maging bukal sa loob ang iyong kabutihan, at hindi sapilitan. 15 Marahil ito ang dahilan kung bakit nahiwalay siya sa iyo nang sandali, upang sa pagbabalik niya'y makasama mo siya habang panahon, 16 hindi na bilang alipin kundi higit pa sa isang alipin, bilang isang minamahal na kapatid. Napamahal na siya sa akin, ngunit lalo na sa iyo, hindi lang bilang tao kundi bilang kapatid sa Panginoon.
17 Kaya't kung itinuturing mo ako bilang katuwang, tanggapin mo siya na parang ako ang tinatanggap mo. 18 Kung siya ma'y nagkasala sa iyo, o may anumang pagkakautang, ako na lang ang singilin mo. 19 Kamay ko mismo ang sumusulat nito: akong si Pablo ang magbabayad sa iyo. Alalahanin mo lamang na utang mo sa akin ang iyong sarili. 20 Oo, kapatid ko, nais kong tulungan mo ako alang-alang sa Panginoon. Pasiglahin mo naman ang loob ko alang-alang kay Cristo.
21 Sinulatan kita dahil nagtitiwala akong gagawin mo ang hinihiling ko, at maaaring higit pa roon ang gagawin mo! 22 Ipaghanda mo na rin ako ng matutuluyan, sapagkat umaasa ako na sa pamamagitan ng inyong mga panalangin ay maibabalik ako sa inyo.

23 Binabati (C) ka ni Epafras na kasama kong bilanggo dahil kay Cristo Jesus. 24 Binabati (D) ka rin nina Marcos, Aristarco, Demas, at Lucas na aking mga kamanggagawa. 25 Ang biyaya ng Diyos ang sumainyong lahat. Amen.

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
